Scraps vs normal gallery

So if im mainly going to post crayon sketches with a 4 min colour job on it, do you still think its ok to post in the normal gallery?

Could also post normally then wait 3 days then move them to scraps, Im just really unsure about clocking the new upload section with sketches. :x

You can do whatever you want. If it's something you want as a main piece on your user page, then just post regular. If not, post to scraps.

The scraps folder, to me, is a place to accumulate previous versions of work.

Say you draw a sketch in black & white.  Yes, it's not a complete image, but it's the most complete version of that image so-far.  So it goes in the main gallery.  Then, say a week later you post the inked work.  Well that is now the most complete version, and the pencil sketch should be shuffled over to scraps (which is easy to do in the image's settings).  When a fully-colored image is ready for posting, the inked one joins the pencil sketch in scraps.  And so on, and so forth...

That's how I see it, at least.  Too many pictures don't ever make it to full inked status, let alone colored.  Doesn't mean it shouldn't be in the main gallery where people will notice it.  But too many artists don't move the less-complete versions to scraps when the finished work is uploaded, and it clutters their gallery.  There has to be balance.

For me, sketches are not necessarily "unfinished versions" of your work. They may be a work on their own.

If you don't want them exhibited with the rest of your work, post them to scraps. If not, post them to your main gallery. Either way, they will show up for watchers and on the master list of latest work.
