Who knew this was a thing?! apaprently theres millions of these damn fasion asthetics most of them listed online. Like, Dark Acadimia Core wich is all classy muted color collage scholar appearal who knew?


Anyway so apparently Kidcores a thing and im allready doing some of it as Im wearing a reptar t shirt right now... the fuck....


Anyway so I love this crap and I need to work on kidcore outfits for kevin XD


weird becouse ontop of cartoon kidcore crap ive a huge fan of darker gothic stuff to... im a weird one.

if there's 23423 different types of -punks, there can be 234242 different types of -cores, and let's not forget all the -gates on twitter. Internet thinks making words like that is cool and/or cute.

I would pick babycore over kidcore, kidcore is headache inducing, babycore is cute soft pastels

I ahve to agree im not quite Pro the SUPER sharp contrasting colors XD but I do like the thematic asthetic ;3 Might do Kidcore with more muted colors and just focus on the style theme

yeah! I like kid clothes and colors, but when I google kidcore images it gives me this something entirely unlike what i see on normal kids, this kind of extreme cacophony of over-saturated to the max neon color patterns that vibrate in my eyes, is the best way i can put it. Tiring. And that's coming from someone who tends to like bright over-saturated colors, more than the average person.

I think there's a historical reason for that, and it's laundry.

I'm guessing clothing manufacturers put super-bright colors on kids' clothes because they know they're going to get washed very frequently and thus fade faster. For the same reason, pastels are associated with kids and babies because that's the colors their clothes fade to. But a lot of that is from generations back because we have better colorfastness in dyes these days, along with detergents that preserve color dyes better. So kids will outgrow their clothing before it has a chance to fade, now. And if we go even FURTHER back, babies' and kids' clothes used to be made mainly out of white or undyed cloth because the dye would fade with almost any amount of washing.

But it's early morning and I'm working off of memory here. I really shouldn't do that, but I'm not in the mood to go down a research rabbit hole this would inevitably lead to. :D So treat this as unverified for now.

babycore tends to go for larger patterns, and less vibrant, pastel colors, which avoids the painful cacophony of many of the photos depicting kidcore, and doesn't vibrate in front of my eyes
(I also enjoy the pastel pink-purple-babyblue mix of babycore a lot more than the frequent dark reds, blues, browns, yellows and greens of many of the kidcore clothes)

The kidcore bedroom with the flower on the floor I actusly liked..I would have gone for a cooler pallet like blues purples and violet or pink but that's still impressive.

Sadly is all a very female asthetic

I thought the colorful room with the large flower is pretty gender-neutral aesthetics. I guess it is pretty pink if that's what you mean. But I like pink.

I mean, I like cute kiddy things, and I have like 30+ plushies/stuffies, and I like vibrant rainbow colors, I just don't like the vibrating images google presents me with when I write kidcore in google image search, more or less. That stuff there, is headache inducing.

I have kind of heard of kidcore and yeah it is easily one of the best things ever :3

Though I have to agree that dark gothic stuff is lots of fun too, hehe i just got a few horror related shirts irl~

Hehehe... Well I blame the boomers for this. They're desperately trying to be immortal so they want to be as childish as possible. That's why all the retro stuff is at a constant 20 year lag with current time. Still, really gonna enjoy the clear/smooth 2000s aesthetic that's gonna come into fashion any day now.
