The second trailer has all-but-confirmed a post leaking details of its ending, villain, and general content.
This doesn't even deserve the mockery Space Jam 2 got. This deserves to be starved of attention so thoroughly it bombs and destroys the careers of the people responsible for it.
If it was done with affection, sure. But this is yet another modern movie where the writers don't know how to write an original story with characterization and heart. So they drag the character(s) you love down to the gutter, and have their arc be merely them getting back to where they were when you last saw them.

The only thing to come out of Disney that was recent and DECENT was the Ducktales Reboot series, this Rescue Rangers movie looks stupid -- It's trying so hard to be RR + Wreck-It-Ralph + Who Framed Roger Rabbit..... We've seen the whole "Cartoon / Vidya Gaems characters getting inserted into the Real World" trope about a million times now. And the whole E True Hollywood Story / VH1 Behind The Music thing is so redundant.

Too much narration, not enough story. Too much "midlife crisis plot" and "recapture past glory days" instead of an adventure with friends to stop something bad from happening. This movie was made by posers for stoners, and has none of the charm of the Rescue Rangers cartoon. While that was aimed at a young audience, true, it holds up to repeated viewings. While the Seth Rogan RR movie is just sad sack characters wander in a sad sack world and look for old friends. This is pathetic.

Well, hopefully this will blow up in their faces in spectacular fashion and send the message that if you're going to try to exploit peoples' nostalgia to make money you kinda need to care about the source of it, as even if they don't realize where they went wrong others might avoid the same fate should the movie faceplant.
