I know I haven't posted journals very often over the last several years, but this felt important enough to let everyone know who might mainly interact with me through Inkbunny...even though labels aside, most of you probably already understood me in this way.
In my defense, when I created the fursona of a shapeshifting fox nearly twenty-two years ago, capable of taking forms with male and/or female parts... I didn't know the word "genderfluid" existed, nor that it could possibly apply to me outside of roleplay, stories, and artwork.
You may or may not have noticed that I have added that keyword to each of my submissions featuring Alfador in any way.
So, what does this change? Erm... nothing really as far as this account is concerned. Mainly applying that label to myself is a way to make sense of what I'm feeling and not feel afraid to let the girl part of me out to play more in real life. (Only inside the house for now.) I'm still the same Alfador, whether in the form of a boy fox or a little vixen.
You can still call me "he" and "him" though I'm also comfortable with "she" and "her" now as well--whichever you think is most appropriate to how I'm presenting at the time. "They/them" is acceptable in a crunch. I'm not going to insist on anything but that you don't call me "it" (unless I'm explicitly inanimate at the time, like in a plushie TF).
