Wacom Tablet Issues

I have a VERRRRY old Wacom Intuos 3 drawing tablet.
Seems over the years I wore away the protective screen, kept using it... and now I have a dead spot on my tablet that doesn't register my stylus at all.
I can sorta work around it, by drawing around the blind spot, but it REALLY kinda sucks.
This has been an expensive Christmas for me, despite the fact I only bought one present for a loved one. Crazy how Life works the coin from your pocket!!!
I want to work on a Milestone picture as well as my comic (I just hit 1500 Watchers recently!), but right now I can't do much with all my crazy work shifts working me on each and every holiday day (and day after). Sucks being the responsible one.
I'll be consulting my artist friends for the best replacement option for my budget, likely a Huion brand display tablet or something similar, but until I get a replacement I will still continue to dabble away at my art. The holidays and work really got to me this year.
Stay safe people, stay warm, and enjoy the New Year!

Life has a way of holding you up from your shoes and shaking out your pockets. Hope you can repair or replace your tablet.

I'll find a way. $600 is kind of steep for any budget, but I'm leaning into getting a display tablet instead of the basic non-display tablet I got used to. Being able to draw digitally as if it were like drawing on a sheet of paper would be a huge help.

I'm WAAAY behind on reading journals. If you still haven't gotten a replacement I have a Wacom Bamboo CTH-470 in almost new condition you can have. I used it once or twice years ago & all I've done since is charge it up every couple months to make sure the battery stays in good condition. It has the wireless dongle and pen included. PM me if you're interested.
