Nigerian Scammers on IB

Just a heads up for those that watch me: There appears to be a spambot operating on InkBunny asking people to contact them by email. When you do so, they give you the whole spiel about 'needing money to get someone and their money out of some country, and you get half the money when we're done'.

Classic Nigerian Scammer, though them using InkBunny shouts and comments is new. Keep an eye open!

They use the same scam over and over. One would think that people would learn by now...

Well, the person programming the bot isn't learning. They actually seem to think our account names here are actual names. In the email they said the folks I'd be helping were related to me and had the last name 'Ruathan'. Got a bit of a chuckle from that.

They are using a generalized bot, they even do this on dating sites. the do and say the same damn thing, never changing constantly sending out their messages. All we can do is block them.

Kinda reminds me of:

Tourist couple hands their camera to a local and ask him to take their picture.
Once the local has the camera, he runs off with it.
