Censoring Pixiv Pictures.

So, I really don't know how to say this. Recently, the Japanese website PIXIV has been up my ass about censoring all of my adult pictures, otherwise they become private and might get my account in trouble.

Most people would say "Fuck that website dude, just take down your account there." But I have quite the following there, and to me, seems unfair just to deny that group of followers any recognition and art. So i'm gonna have to deal.

So what I have decided to do, is censor all of my current posted pictures there to comply with japanese censoring standards. This includes commissioned works too, so if you are an artist who I commissioned, and are shocked i had to add tiny black and white bars on the genitals, I'm sorry, but i dunno what else to do. Plus it only takes me a few seconds.

So as always, the best place to see my uncensored art is here on inkbunny, and as for my shota stuff, it's gonna be barrag or the dedicated link.

Thanks for understanding, GC out.

Pixiv shouldn't censor pictures.

i know, but it's japan's laws, not pixiv itself.

They should change that law.

-.w.- theres better places i reccomend https://baraag.net for human content is censoreing is something you dont want to do

the problem is that baraag is a smaller website, and it'll take forever to upload every single piece of art there

If you like Pixiv, please, stick with it. There's no perfect community or perfect country. The good things in Japan surely compensate the fact you need to add a small black bar on the cub's willy.x3 Specially if you can put the uncensored art elsewhere.

for me, it's the fact that i have an entire different audience there that still loves my art. It makes me tempt uploading some backlogged stuff there.

They got up my butt about it before too.  Usually they just want the lead picture censored.  So I'll make a censored top picture, then have the uncensored ones as the remaining pages.

when japan goes to war with china during the counter china wars they have onechoices, they can  take over china and remove the laws.

So I'll say this:

I once tried Pixiv, and quickly went away from it once I heard about Pixiv Gold. I needed to modify something about my gallery (can't remember what), but it was a subscription-only feature.

Since it is based in Japan, you would have to comply with the laws there, yes...

I also only really never get to see too many meaningful comments on Pixiv. A lot of the fanbase of Pixiv is Japanese as well, and will only speak that language, or will just comment with that iconic elephant with blood coming out of its trunk, or whatever. I don't care so much for baseless comments and praise like that.

But I really do think giving Baraag a shot is worth it. Not just for "trying to get popular", but because you'd be supporting Open Source as well.

Baraag is hosted on a federated service called Mastodon. That means if Baraag ever goes away, chances are your art will still be up or mirrored on someone else's server, perhaps. Now I'm not sure if this is what you want. Personally, I still like to have a little more control over my gallery, but it's sadly the best most of us have.

Hiccears is another good option. The only problem I have with them is that they won't support pornographic 3D images, or images too "realistic". That is probably not a problem for you, though.

You can also use Telegram, but there are furries against it now for various reasons, so... eh...

Yeah, Baraag is really the way to go for now, unless anyone can invent a better place! :p

While i have some things on baraag, i mostly use it for shota based reasons. Also my issue with it is that it's VERY twitter like, down to the hashtags and very little space for descriptions. I'd also have to upload all 400+ pictures there just to get caught up. It's not a bad website at all, it just has some features there that don't seem friendly for a more gallery focused poster.

Pixiv has problems sure, but i cannot deny the fact that it's given me a lot of attention there, in some respects more than inkbunny. I've come to grips that all it takes to censor is a few seconds to add a solid black or white line, so it's not as big of a deal as i complianed when i posted this. All and all, I'm just trying to make a balance between convenience, and more control over my uploads and audience.

Oh yeah, so you only upload human/shota on Baraag? For me, that's the whole point!

I wouldn't bother uploading your whole gallery there. Just have a thumbnail for shota stuff on Inkbunny, but then upload it with a link to a Baraag post. People on Inkbunny surprisingly still view that stuff here.

I do feel like your Inkbunny gallery is getting a lot more attention than Pixiv anyway. Statistically, you have 680 watchers here, versus 53 followers at your Pixiv, and typically more comments per-post here.

So I don't know what you mean when you say you get more attention at Pixiv. It's never been that way for me, in my experience. >w>
