Review of The Avengers

.....

Why have you not seen this movie yet?

I'll put it this way. If you liked the previous Marvel films that led up to this, then you will love this cause its a film that actually lived up to the hype. If you did not like the previous films, then why bother cause you have probably already decided not to see it.

Yes, Loki is a lot more as you would expect him to be within the Movie universe guidelines. Whedon did a topnotch job in giving all the cast screen time and moments to shine.

As any other Marvel film stick around for credits. There is a mid credit scene and a final scene after credits.

Saw it last weekend with two different friends two days in a row! It's really awesome. Anyone who likes Firefly and the Marvel characters as portrayed in the previous films will like this. Whedon makes his inner geek shine several times throughout the film.

Whedon was a great director for this kind of film. The man knows how to handle a huge ensemble of characters and not make it focus on just one or two. And anyone who knows his previous work, there is one scene that did surprise everyone (whole audience gasped in shock and you might know which scene I speak of(no spoilers here, sorry)) but should not be surprised cause its something that Whedon is well known for doing.

Oh and arguably the best portrayal of the Hulk. You could actually feel the panic and dread of the Hulk coming out. Even Banner as himself was unsettling at times.

Why haven't I seen it yet?  Line wrapped around the block at the movie theater.

Saw this afternoon, was only about 20 people in the theater. Then made a huge mistake and theater-hopped into Crash of the Titans.
