This is a sort of PSA for those seeking out more of the same kink that features in so many of my stories. I myself have struggled to find more consensual guro across the internet, partially because it is rarely distinguished from the much larger amounts of non-consensual guro I don't care for.
Recently while browsing pixiv I came across 'wakai', a tag that appeared exclusively on consensual guro images. So far I haven't seen it anywhere else, but it might be useful for searching other japanese sites. The kanji form is 和壊 if the romanized version doesn't work. Translated literally it seems to mean something like "peaceful destruction", "soft/harmonious breaking".
To me this is an exciting thing to learn due to how frequently japanese terms are used to describe very specific fetishes, even on non japanese sites. Neotare, guro, ahegao, bukkake, shota, loli all are examples of kinks that are referred to almost exclusively by their japanese names, as their equivalents in English are either too long, unspecific, or unflattering. Much like 'consensual guro'.
I've taken the liberty of tagging all my relevant works as wakai. I urge anyone interested in this sort of content to do likewise and to spread the word, literally, across the communities where such content can be found. If wakai can be uniformly adopted to refer to the consensual guro fetish it would make life much easier for those that enjoy it.
