Anime inspired tabletop?

by
It wouldn't surprise me if something like this officially exists but I've been mulling around the idea of a D&D/Pathfinder style game that ditches the ideas of character class and possibly levels, but definitely the idea of gaining new abilities/skills automatically with levels, in favor of a system where the character grows with time and experience. For example if you want your character to be like Goku this would simply require building into certain skills such as martial arts and talents/perks like Ki but beyond that your abilities/attacks are made up by the player themselves with some guidelines on how of course.

The general setting is high fantasy with very little in terms of what isn't allowed. Sword and sorcery, mecha, magical girls, action, comedy, romance, horror, etc all could be worked into the world.

Anyway what Im really getting at is if I find something like this or make it would anyone be interested in joining?

As universal rule systems, GURPS and Savage Worlds undoubtedly have some anime settings made for them. GURPS has certain 'cinematic' rules that would definitely be used so things don't get bogged down in being too realistic.

And I'd probably join a game, as long as it's all in text. I hate talking on mic. >.>

My personal favorite version of this concept is BESM d20 printed by Guardians of Order around the same time as 3.5 D&D.

I haven't played BESM for over fifteen years.  It was tri-stat at the time.
