honestly, like 4 5 things all having to do with sex???? does the general community truly believe we're a bunch of sex fiends or something? sure we like X Rated art... but that doesn't mean were in some sort of... crazy hurry, to go to a fur-con for sex. if that's what it really was, then i am not sure i would wanna attend one some day so badly. i am not sure what the intent is btw, but hopefully, people will realize the above isn't really us.

I think there were several questions on the subject because it is still a hot topic inside and outside the fandom (some don't want to have anything to do with it, other won't do anything else)

sarcasm and exaggeration, but really what I am talking about is. awhile back i brought up the furry matter on marijuana dot com, and it took like 5 or 6 replies before anyone seemed to understand that's not what it's all about. and the impression i do get, is that fur cons are probably *very* clean. but you still need the questions there, to demonstrate that it's not all about having sex. where in the hell did that even get started anyways, ED?

That too. Any unfamiliar community tends to get that kind of treatment. In media it's much simpler to portray something in a way that's easy to comprehend in five seconds. That becomes the perception. Think about ethnic communities or better yet the gay community. It takes personal familiarity before most folks realize how any group really is.
