Wrap up "THE CHAINS THAT BIND" AMA and Cage post mortem

Ok first off as always even if this journal isn't fresh I'll try my best to answer any questions especially in the next few weeks as people catch up and finish the comic

I’d like to thank everyone who’s read the comic, and a special thanks to Eldra again who helped me proofread the comic and provided support.

I can't think of a cool way to tease it so I'll just say it outright, the next installment of nocturnal is gonna be a game.

Again thank you to everyone who's reads this, Nocturnal brings me a lot of stress and seeing that even one person likes it does make me feel a lot better, anyways on with the questions!

Edit: I forget to mention an Important thing, this is the end of The Cage as a setting for the foreseeable future and thus any questions about the precursor "A CAGE CALLED HOME", the song and poem "What the Fire Wrought" and the cage as a setting are encouraged

  Yeah his story kinda just stopped huh, The Terminus dawn pair where defined really late into the story, Domino in specific was conceived while making the page he appears on. As for Kanna I don't feel great about giving a fully concrete answer but logically I'd think he'd either be apprehended and brought to what the flames consider to be justice, or successfully escape.

  Although i do like the idea of Kanna being outside the walls when we left him he hadn't yet gotten further then the "Banne/Terrax" attempt at escape and I haven't shown Kanna as being particular adept through out the story. There is also the possibility that he fails to leave The Cage but succeeds and evading the flames which would be my favored path if I ever return to The Cage as a setting later down the line, as he would still be an active player with a sorta "mythos".

  So uhh i just realized i made a few fan theories about the comic i make haha , I hope that's a satisfying answer I kinda just like to have this space open haha.

Do you have translations for the runic writing that appears throughout?

Yes and no...
The writing in nocturnal is a font I made so in reality it's just an English substitution cipher, like a lot of written fantasy languages are. However mine really wasn't made to be read I don't think, since there's know real way of telling when one letter starts and the next one ends. For the sake of consistency I usually write out words in the font that appear multiple times in close up.

For example the four words that make up the spell on Ren's collar translated are "lose", "hold", "wack", "mind" and most of the magical instruments follow the same sorta conventions. But for things that are far away or only show up in one panel I usually just scribble some gibberish.
