To nobody’s surprise Tumblr today announced that they lied about the “bots deleting nsfw accounts glitch” and that starting Dec. 17th NSFW content is no longer allowed. My account has been deleted before, and I’m not going to miss Tumblr, but I am disappointed that I have to say goodbye to a community that was probably my fastest growing site despite the short amount of time I was on there for.
I’ll be uploading content on Tumblr per usual until Dec. 16th, at which point I will be deleting all NSFW pics. I still haven’t decided what I’ll do there; maybe do something more like an Ask blog for Nera and her friends, but that’ll come later.

I don't even use Tumblr but no matter what the staff believes, this won't make things better. It wouldn't have happened if they simply did their job and remove illegal content but they dug their grave now they have to lie in it.

I'm sure in 6 or so months they'll suddenly go "Oh shit no we'll allow NSFW again please come back" to which 90% of the past NSFW-users will just say "Fool me once, shame on you..." and not come back. I know I won't.

Surprisingly, SJWs had nothing to do with this (they are getting screwed over as well). The blame is on yahoo/tumblr for ignoring real CP for years and only after apple remove them that the staff decides to do something, and the main problems still persist (Porn bots). So this effort on their end won't do a thing but make their case even worse.
