As you probably know, I've been quiet for a good couple of months now. I really have no excuse for this.
Lately, I've been suffering from a severe case of artist's block. So severe in fact, that I can't even bring myself to boot up SFM these days.
A little while back, I did have an idea. And I started work on it. But after deciding to take a break for the day, for some reason, I couldn't ever be bothered to finish it. It's been sitting there untouched for quite some time. There have been multiple times where I think to myself, "I should really finish that thing". But I never did. It's like all of a sudden, everything else in the world seems more important.
This has become too big to ignore now. And I feel that all of you have a right to know this. I've thought a lot about it, and I've come to a decision.
I'm announcing my retirement.
I simply don't have the passion for SFM anymore. And I think it's unfair for me to keep you all waiting for something that I've barely started.
Now before some of you start freaking out, I will say this: I have absolutely no intention of deleting my account or artwork. They'll stay up for as long as possible. And I will still be browsing Inkbunny, so I'll still be able to answer the odd comment here and there.
I want to say thank you to everybody here who have supported me over these past couple of years. It's been fun watching the notifications and comments come in. And it feels nice to see that there are people out there who have similar tastes in certain areas as me.
So thank you all once again. And I leave you with a quote that has always resonated with me. I feel it's only fitting to leave it here.
"Whenever there is a meeting, a parting is sure to follow. However, that parting need not last forever... Whether a parting be forever, or merely for a short time. That is up to you."
