Patreon did a good thing

Looks like they WONT be implementing the proposed changes, and are going to look at something new.

And, of course, they do this AFTER I've shut down my patreon 2 days ago ;;

With the way things are, I'm going to probably reboot my patreon in the new year after I've cleared up my backlog.

It seemed pretty inevitable that Patreon was going to do that, but the damage is kind of already done :x Might be for the best to wait a little bit to see if the situation stabilizes

hm, just saw your latest journal which took me back to here, guessing the endgame will be a hybrid of their 2 systems, charge up front with pledger delaying first charge at will with no access until first charge, would fix that big issue and not surprise people pledging, fee if they wish to pay upfront maybe? would fix the issue under both systems.

going to check your kofi but looks like it uses paypal to charge meaning I can't send anything that way. (stupid ban)
