Thicker Skin Than League's Rammus

I would like everyone to know my opinion on being bullied. Actually, my opinion on being hated in general.

It's two words: Fuck 'em.

I've lived in places where intimidation is key. If you can intimidate someone, you can control them to a degree. Most people subconsciously know that hierarchy is established with audacity: the louder you yell, the more of the (non-physical) battle you've won; the more you spite, the more you damage your foe. Which is why people do things like threaten and rally others to feel the same.
The stronger kids knew that violence was the best way to show the true value of all that. You want to talk shit, but you wont fight me will you? And they normally wouldn't. Nothing would come of all the talking. it meant nothing because nothing was accomplished. Just noise. In my experience, the best way to respond to "Talking" is a show of force. A good metaphor is SENDING A FLEET OF WARSHIPS PAST SOMEONE ELSE'S TERRITORY--just to give em a look. If you know what piece of world history I'm referencing, then it makes sense.

These psychological tactics are 100% valid. They've worked since the dawn of time but only to one type of person: those who let it work. Battles were won by leaders who see past the superficial stuff.

The way I see it, someone can bark all they want. they can bark so much that all the other mongrels on their level bark too. They can bark in the same direction as the first mutt without knowing why they're even barking. And it's up to the target to even understand what those diseased dirtbags are even saying. However, most choose to hide or run. The volume of the noise too much to stand up to. But you don't have to let the hate seeping through someone's filthy mouth decided who you are and what you'll do!

Not everyone can think or act like me--I know--but I'm the type of dog that will wait, with a poker-face, for those other mutts to come over my fence. A whole gang of barking idiots can say what they like, but it doesn't mean shit to me unless they come into my territory.

Then we can see who barks loudest. ONLY THEN CAN WE SEE WHAT ALL THE BARKING IS WORTH.

Metaphors and euphemisms aside: Never allow someone's words to control you. Only scripts do that. You are a human being, a creature with the mental capacity to know the difference between getting shit-talked by someone who doesn't know you better than you do, and being in legitimate danger. You have the base instincts to know when something is worth combat.

For me, personally, someone has to come and risk their life to try and affect me. You can rally the whole goddamn internet--I could care less!! But, believe me, if you want to play death games: We will play. But, first, you gotta have nuts. Come bite me.

Otherwise, shut the fuck up.

That got a little personal, but you know what I mean. Don't let cyberbullying even be a valid thing. it's the dumbest shit I ever heard, in my opinion, and we as a species should be better than this. I mean, the solution is so simple: they have NOTHING to sway you into something as drastic as suicide. Personally, it's VERY hard for me to feel bad for someone who kills themselves from it. I'm sorry if that offends you but a decade ago people had much thicker skin...

When will people learn that bullying is how Columbines happen?

Ohhhhh, no one ever sees a school full of other students making life a living Hell on Earth for either one kid, or for a small group of kids who are weaker than the bullies are...Everyone wears blinders.

But the blinders somehow magically come off only when it's time for everyone to start screaming like people on a roller coaster ride, and say, "OH MY GOD! LOOK WHAT SOME SICK STUDENT DID! THOSE POOR OTHER KIDS LAYING IN BLOOD IN THE HALLWAY! OH MY GOD!".

Then all the conspiracy theories begin to circulate...all of them far out in left field. One theory that's a REAL beauty is the one that goes, "That kid who bought the gun to school did it to try to prove himself a bad ass...How sick".

It's funny how that works too. the gunners are the crazy ones when they were driven into being crazy. It's sad, truly.

You know cyberbullying is more than just "I hate u" right? Like, people will literally ruin somebody's life by spreading rumors, doxxing people, and contacting their employers to slander them and get them fired.

Also, mental illness breaks down peoples' ability to cope with this type of behavior. Therapy and drugs are incredibly high, and some insurance companies don't cover that (at least from the region I'm from). So combine somebody who's already having problems with life with people telling you to kill yourself everyday and it leads to these instances of suicide. This was happening a decade ago too. And the decade before that. It just wasn't as publicized because it's disrespectful to report on a family's suicide. Especially when most of these suicides are in teens.

Sometimes the repercussions are not the suicide of the victim only. I was in middle school phys ed class once where a red haired boy was bullied so bad, he threatened to bring his daddy's gun to school the next day and shoot us all, including those of us that had nothing to do with the bullying...That was scary.
That could have been a Columbine 50 years ago.

The sad part is there are morons (all the Dr. Phil wanna-bes out there) who think the tragic results had no motive, and that absolutely nothing caused it.

You're right, it is more than just talking down to someone. The other half of my argument (should have expanded on this point, sorry) is: if all they're doing is talking, why give them ammo? Why even acknowledge it? If they don't get a rise out of you, where's the motivation to torment you further? The less it seems to bother you then they have to come closer--stick their necks out further to harm you, and that's dangerous for them. When you show them that they're hurting you, and they develop a fervor for causing you harm because they know it's working. and that's how it accelerates in to life damages.

The bold paragraph was a metaphor for it but I never explained it plainly, sorry about that.

Ignoring them works until they begin physically striking their victims.

Exactly! and THAT'S when you have to establish that you're not to be fucked with! I know not everyone can, it takes a certain level of defiance and a (will to be happy) to want to physically fight for yourself against someone you see as a bully, but it's better than letting them have (unwanted) control over you. Fight em! "One of us has to die because this can't continue!"

I just now recalled a bullying story I really got a kick out of;
A guy I knew who owned a tire shop in Choctaw, Arkansas told me about it. He was originally from St. Louis, Missouri where he grew up.
St. Louis was back in the day, and probably still is, run by a very powerful mafia family. Another mafia family ran things on the east side of the river in Illinois.
To give an example of their clout, one of the family members who owned a used car lot sold a car to a customer that had a bad title.
The customer came back complaining, "The tag office won't issue a tag and registration on this car you sold me".
The car dealer assured the customer, "I'll make a phone call to them. Just go back to them. You shouldn't have a problem".
Back at the tag office, they issued the tag and registration on the car and apologized to the customer for any inconvenience.

The guy who owned the tire shop went to school with a boy from the mafia family...Well, one day, a group of bullies who didn't know who he was got the wild asshair to bully him.
The boy only had to tell his parents one time what happened.
The very next day, on the way home from school, thugs hired by the mafia (strong grown men) chased down and dragged the bullies into an alley, and commenced to beating the holy livin' fucken' everlovin' shit out of them. Those thugs severely beat those bully school boys like they were beating up other grown men.
After they beat the boys up to the point where they needed an ambulance, the thugs told those boys what it was all about, then told them, "Don't-cha eveh neva neva neva neva neva mess with that boy evah again... Hear me?... Dig?... Understand?... Capeesh?".
The beatings were so bad, those thugs laid those bullies up in the hospital for at least a week. And that mafia boy never got bullied again.
The parents of those bullies, knowing what they would be dealing with, didn't dare take anyone to court for the hospital bills for their boys...That came out of THEIR pockets.
The law didn't touch them either.
