I would like everyone to know my opinion on being bullied. Actually, my opinion on being hated in general.
It's two words: Fuck 'em.
I've lived in places where intimidation is key. If you can intimidate someone, you can control them to a degree. Most people subconsciously know that hierarchy is established with audacity: the louder you yell, the more of the (non-physical) battle you've won; the more you spite, the more you damage your foe. Which is why people do things like threaten and rally others to feel the same.
The stronger kids knew that violence was the best way to show the true value of all that. You want to talk shit, but you wont fight me will you? And they normally wouldn't. Nothing would come of all the talking. it meant nothing because nothing was accomplished. Just noise. In my experience, the best way to respond to "Talking" is a show of force. A good metaphor is SENDING A FLEET OF WARSHIPS PAST SOMEONE ELSE'S TERRITORY--just to give em a look. If you know what piece of world history I'm referencing, then it makes sense.
These psychological tactics are 100% valid. They've worked since the dawn of time but only to one type of person: those who let it work. Battles were won by leaders who see past the superficial stuff.
The way I see it, someone can bark all they want. they can bark so much that all the other mongrels on their level bark too. They can bark in the same direction as the first mutt without knowing why they're even barking. And it's up to the target to even understand what those diseased dirtbags are even saying. However, most choose to hide or run. The volume of the noise too much to stand up to. But you don't have to let the hate seeping through someone's filthy mouth decided who you are and what you'll do!
Not everyone can think or act like me--I know--but I'm the type of dog that will wait, with a poker-face, for those other mutts to come over my fence. A whole gang of barking idiots can say what they like, but it doesn't mean shit to me unless they come into my territory.
Then we can see who barks loudest. ONLY THEN CAN WE SEE WHAT ALL THE BARKING IS WORTH.
Metaphors and euphemisms aside: Never allow someone's words to control you. Only scripts do that. You are a human being, a creature with the mental capacity to know the difference between getting shit-talked by someone who doesn't know you better than you do, and being in legitimate danger. You have the base instincts to know when something is worth combat.
For me, personally, someone has to come and risk their life to try and affect me. You can rally the whole goddamn internet--I could care less!! But, believe me, if you want to play death games: We will play. But, first, you gotta have nuts. Come bite me.
Otherwise, shut the fuck up.
That got a little personal, but you know what I mean. Don't let cyberbullying even be a valid thing. it's the dumbest shit I ever heard, in my opinion, and we as a species should be better than this. I mean, the solution is so simple: they have NOTHING to sway you into something as drastic as suicide. Personally, it's VERY hard for me to feel bad for someone who kills themselves from it. I'm sorry if that offends you but a decade ago people had much thicker skin...
