People have been hearing around, the internet and It is time I confess...*sigh* here goes... yes I am secretly a employee of the special online investigations division. For years we have been monitoring web activity and people suspected of being kiddy diddlers in order to make a comprehensive list of registered sex offenders. Babysitting Cream was our tool to catch potential predators, and if you've run the game on your computer or phone, we've very likely been monitoring you all this time, during Obama's presidency we had to keep it secret, but now our lord and savior
Donald J. Blessed be his name Trump, has allowed us to come forward and reveal the truth as we have immunity granted to us. My artwork has also been a trap. We have a pretty BIG list of records, and just deleting your HDD will not be enough, we'll be knocking on your doors very soon.
In truth, look at your calendar (or this journal's post date)...got it? OK...great...
Alright now on to other news. BSC development is much more active than in previous years, we have a pretty stable team who have been working well at the top is offcourse
Avian
-
Chief Programmer, Co-Director, Co-Producer, Game Features DesignerAvian is the code master, he's no longer writing or concept designing, he's focused on working the code into Renpy and actually has a pretty stable build (backbone) for the game, that will slowly be populated with writing and sprites, which leads us to...
Lost
-
Executive Writer, Game Concepts Feature Designer.Lost is officially the writer for Babysitting Cream, he's not making a total rewrite of the game, but he is definitely writing a WHOLE LOT MORE, that and he's officially a writer, a proper writer, meaning much less typos. A word of caution, asking for Lost as to what will be included in the game is pointless, he will either troll you or ignore you. Asking him to write "X character, or X dialogue, or X reference" into the game will likely yield absolutely nothing. He has organized the writing of the game and is also in charge of designing concept features for the game. More on that after I introduce the third official member of the Devs team
Kevin Snowpaw
-
Chief Tester, Chief of Quality ControlKevin and I have been good friends for the longest time, he has been assigned as Chief Tester for new versions and features for the game, he's the first one who will have his hands on any new version of the game that goes into testing phase. He's also in charge of Quality Control, so if he thinks a feature or scene/scenario is not quite right, he'll submit his recommendations in order to get it changed into something better. Now a word of caution, he will NOT under any circumstances be handing out test versions of the game, so asking him about it is pointless. He will very likely just troll you with old flash test versions.
and so comes to me
Aval0nX "yours trully"
Chief Executive Producer, Chief Director, Chief Editor, Creative Director, Chief Artist, DesignerI'm in charge of steering the project down the bumpy road known as the years. I direct the game and have the final say on what features will be used, what direction to take the game, and I'm in charge of the art of the game. I'm also the head designer, I sit down with Avian and the others and we determine what's best to include, omit or remove into the game.
Production Status:Not so much a completion status, but more of a how things are being done. Lost writes for the game almost every week, he has the most time of the rest of us, Avian is busy with College, and barely has much time to do coding, but again, the main skeleton of the game (programming wise is set) all he has to do is code in the new writing and sprites as they are branded completed. I only have time to work on Sundays for an hour or two, which means progress on sprites is very slow. Kevin tests anything we give him and gives us an input on how the writing looks, and confers with lost for tweaks to make it better. Once lost finishes writing a scene I read it, edit if necessary and he reviews it for grammar. That's pretty much the process of production.
Game Status:without going into extensive details here's some of the head things that have changed
- Programmed in Renpy, most mayor change (Flash was good, but setting up saves and features was the reason development stopped for 2 - 3 years, every single test crashed the whole game, and after rebuilding the game six times and failing, we had to move on to a better engine)
- Energy is not a factor anymore. The game has a clock now, not a real-time clock, but one that advances as you walk through the house play out scenes and interactions and do other stuff. A game clock was the original idea I had back in the day, but it was pretty complicated to set up on flash so we originally went with an energy system. Of course changing from energy to time, took an entire redesigning of the rest of the code, to balance out time per interactions.
- NPCs will still be in the game, but their roles are not major (in regards to the actual game) They are important, and you can get different outcomes in interaction depending on what you have done and explored in the game. You don't just rape Tails and tell him to fuck off, you can be nice to him for once, but he won't be getting much more than that. Same goes for all the other NPCs, there is ONE that you meet that leads to a special ending, and many people will likely deduce who it's going to be, but we'll leave that under wraps for now.
- Backgrounds were generated in 3D using one of the Sims engines by Avian, we still have to test how jarring 3D and 2D are with each other, but honestly we haven't really given backgrounds much importance anyway.
- Will you be able to drive vanilla's car? ... yes ...
- Will there be new scenes? ... yes ...
- Will there be new endings? ... yes ...
- Will Tails ever get any love? ...
NEVER ... you can be nice to him though ...

When is the next official release coming out? ...when we have an official stable release version...when will that be? This year? Next Year? Next Decade? I don't know...
that said, I still reiterate. Babysitting Cream is not a project that is being worked with around the clock, It's a hobby for me, and for the other devs as well. We have lives and priorities, jobs to pay the bills and put food on the table,
we don't get paid to work on BSC and NEVER WILL, we work on the game on our off-time, when we actually have time to spend on it.
If you don't like that then fuck off, go do something more productive with your time. If you understand that we will post something someday and you will enjoy it when it does come out, fantastic, you're on the right set of thinking. Do you come to my page every day looking and praying for an update, then you are a fucking moron,
when the game is released I'll ANNOUNCE IT VERY CLEARLY!!! or we will give a serious advanced notice saying "Game release date will be X day X month X, year, X decade"
For those asking about my Patreon -
https://www.patreon.com/Aval0nXPATREON IS NOT...NOT...ABSOLUTELY NOT... for supporting Babysitting cream...please don't be fucking retards (I'm tired of reading the same stupid exit survey "I only meant to support BSC")My Patreon is for supporting me as an artists in general, all of my art, furry, non-furry, my stuff over on tumblr, etc. It is a tip jar, which I appreciate all my supporters and thank them from the deepest corners of my heart.
I post on Patreon 5 - 9 pics (linearts, comic pages, etc.) at the end of each month, and the only support/pledge option is $1.00/per pic, for those of you who don't want to support more than $1.00 a month you can actually set up to ONLY support $1.00 (I'm also tired of reading the "artist didn't engage as I expected", or "ARTISTS JUST POSTED 9 PICS I JUST LOST $9.00". It's funny when if I post stuff people complain and if I don't they do so the same...
I'm sure there's lots of stuff more to talk about, I don't have a specific stream schedule, have very little time for those, but those who know me, know that when I stream I do several days in a row. so if you don't want to miss my streams, subscribe on Piczel and you'll get a notice whenever I start streaming.
AS FOR COMMISSIONS!!!I will be making changes to commissions very soon, and updating the commissions journal, I'm very swamped with work IRL and once I finish my next batch of commissions and send out a couple that I forgot to send out last month, I'll make a clear queue system, I'll only be able to support one slot for a fully colored and shaded pic per month but there will be several lineart only slots available. But more on that later, my fingers are tired from typing.
