Sales on Inkbunny

by
Hi guys,

I'm afraid I won't be selling on Inkbunny for now till a better system of payment is introduced, and prints are available again. I am not able to make my own prints as specified on the site, so please don't attempt to order them - they will not be fulfilled.

I wanted to actually remove all my sales settings today, but it was taking so long and it's my birthday...so we're off out. I'll try and fix it later. Just keep in mind that NO ORDERS will be processed. For anything. Till stuff is sorted.

I feel kinda burned I ever signed up for an Alertpay account for Inkbunny. :( Their rates and charges were horrible, but I thought it was going to be a longer-lasting thing. And this drama is shitty at the moment as well. I see conflicting information everywhere, like, a mod saying Inkbunny removed sales before Alertpay could discontinue services, now there's a mail saying that they were discontinued by Alertpay...ugh. I don't really know what's going on. Blow over already. -_-

We heard about FA's trouble, saw the writing on the wall, started planning own departure, and then AlertPay dropped us a line later on in the week. You could call it mutual dissatisfaction - they were all too keen to have us until someone kicked up a fuss out of pettiness. We don't want that kind of partner.

I was at MFF when this all started going down, and didn't hear about it until Monday night - probably for the best.

It's a shame, but as you say the rates were not pleasant; that's why we've been investigating alternatives for some time. The reality is that without more viewers, there are not likely to be enough sales, so we have to make that happen first. The latest drama may actually help there. :-p

Can't use a Kinkos until then? Just curious.

I thought of that too, but then again I personally would be afraid to use a kinkos or something simply because the prints might have adult content on them. I would think other artists might be at least a little uncomfortable with it too, if nothing else. Not to mention some might be reported to the authorities, because some people might see furry xxx art  as bestiality as it involves animals. Lets not even get started on the cub artists.

Just imagine walking into the store: "Hey, can you make X amount of prints of this tenticle creature raping a baby antelope?"
Its awkward if nothing else.

You don't get Kinkos in this country. We don't have a similar service either. Trust me, I've used it while in the US! (Unless you want me to include a return plane ticket in every print price...which would make me rather happy but I doubt I'd get many sales :D :D)

I could get prints made up on demand (although not to the advertised sizes since those are a US standard) by the company I use for my con prints. However, the postage cost on just one print at a time would be ridiculous (think $8) for me, from the company I use. It's alright when I'm ordering 100 prints for a convention, but I don't even sell 1 a week here. So it'd be pretty useless.

Ergo, I have no way to sell prints on demand.
