"I'm not ashamed to admit that I'm a Christian, but you don't need to be in the pew every Sunday to know there's something wrong in this country when gays can serve openly in the military but our kids can't openly celebrate Christmas or pray in school. As President, I'll end Obama's war on religion. And I'll fight against liberal attacks on our religious heritage. Faith made America strong. It can make her strong again. "
- Governor Rick Perry
The stupidity of this statement could only come from both a higher education and a blatant avoidance of actually having BEEN in the military. Not knowing just how truly heart-wrenching it is to serve while wearing a mask of 'non-offensiveness' to your co-workers. Not understanding that even admitting it is opening a gateway for quiet beatings behind a building...beatings if you're LUCKY.
Anyone who votes for this asshole deserves no respect. None. You vote for Rick Perry, you have shown your colors by effectively trying to promote to highest office a man who is not only a bigot, but an arrogant conservative right-wing douchebag Republican with slick words that carry no promise of actually doing anything but promoting more hurt and suffering on people *WHO DON'T NEED IT RIGHT NOW.*
Between this, Michelle Bachmann promising to reduce gas prices to under $2 dollars again (as if that was Obama's fault), Ron Paul being against national healthcare while abandoning his previous campaign manager to pneumonia and letting the manager's wife be saddled with $400,000 worth of medical bills (because THEY couldn't afford it), and Herman Whats-his-ass paying off two secretaries or whoever to keep from telling how he sexually harassed them, I have no godly clue how anyone could vote Republican this coming election.
If they win, we're all fucking doomed. All of us. Our country will likely start World War III and that'll be the end because of some Christian dipshit firing off bombs at people who he thought deserved it...EVEN WHEN KILLING IN GOD'S NAME IS NO JUSTIFICATION.
