Hello Inkbunny

by
This is Mykiio from FurAffinity,

I wasn't expecting to use this account for anything other than following artists that don't post on the other websites, but unfortunately FA has killed my account.  Password got deleted, can't reset my password, nobody answers my emails, so I guess that's that, everything I had there is gone.  Until I can find a better solution, it looks like I'll be posting my art here now as well as livestreaming notifications.

Thank you.

-EDIT-
FA has finally recovered and I got my account back, thankfully with everything intact.  I may not be very active over here, but I will occasionally post art that would otherwise not fit in FA for whatever reason.

Welcome to Inkbunny! I hope you enjoy your time here. :-)

You might find the FA to IB migration tool (once it's back up) or a bulk upload useful if you want to fill your gallery up. Be sure to check each piece selected for upload against our acceptable content policy, and apply appropriate keywords and ratings for search and filtering before making your work public.

Notices from our stream announcements system are posted on the front page, as well as your user page and to watchers; they and submissions/journals can also be posted on Twitter if you choose to set that up. (If you have an account there, of course!)

Thanks for the welcome and the helpful links on getting myself situated here on Inkbunny.  I do have a question about the Acceptable Content Policy though, why the censorship on human and humanoid characters?

First reason is liability: they're considered depictions of "people" under the laws of e.g. UK, Australia and thus subject to laws regarding depictions of children (even if completely fictional); similarly for bestiality laws in e.g. Germany; then there's all the potential issues about depicting identifiable people… several staff and many members are based in such countries.

If we say "no humans showing genitals or in sexual situations" it helps a lot for our peace of mind and reduces the chance that three-letter agencies will take issue with our members' content, or the site. We also feel more qualified to judge a character's humanity than whether they're 18.

Second reason: We primarily host furry art galleries, not galleries for furry artists. To be blunt, humans are not what we're going for, and we feel devoting significant site/staff resources to them would be a misuse of our time and our donors' funds. There are other places permitting such content, such as deviantART and Hentai-Foundry, and we encourage their use.

Sexual situations includes basically all things which would be Adult-rated sexually, but not mere innuendo or provocation. Also, the breasts are not genitals. This for example, has a provocative title and pose, but it is not technically a sexual situation, and so would be permitted as Mature. If someone was fondling the breasts, or there were sex toys in the background, it would probably be considered Adult, and so not allowed.

I'm sorry to hear that's the cause for the censorship, but I understand not wanting legal troubles.  Though that makes me wonder how deviantART and Hentai-Foundry are able to permit such content despite all that.

For both sites, humans are present in a majority of the art they're created to host, so they're willing to spend time considering, say, age, and to assume the legal risk of making a decision on those factors. In DA's case there are also strong commercial considerations (and they do not host more explicit content). Both sites are hosted and run from the USA, which has relatively strong protections for freedom of expression.

Again, to be blunt, we're all volunteers, and we don't want to spend our time looking at naked humans over our cornflakes to decide whether it's underage or otherwise illicit - nor are we keen to be on the hook for getting it wrong and risk going to jail. It's just not what we signed up for. :-)

We try to work with artists by permitting previews and off-site links for such content, which we believe to present little legal risk.

Ah, that does sound like a decent compromise, I have seen artists like Aoigami and Kitsuneyoukai make use of off-site link workarounds.

And I get which picture from my FA you're referring to, makes sense now.

Thanks again for giving me the lowdown on Inkbunny.

Oh I forgot to mention, I wasn't able to look at your example because I no longer have access to FA due to death of aforementioned account.

It's on your account. The title was "You can play with them." :-)

If you're looking to import from it, you may wish to investigate FA2IB which has recently been re-coded to adapt for this particular situation. Since your name matches, an import should be possible.

Were you going to add the link to your account on our page here after recovering it?

That was over 6 years ago, my account has since been recovered.  Here is my FA page:
