Since some time now, there has been this one guy around called Pokefound, drawing in a very similar fashion as another artist called Pokehidden, who stop drawing a time ago. If you don't know know who he is, this Pokehidden artist was really popular and known at the time. Some long time ago, he decided to stop drawing because he wasn't pleased with himself and the kind of art he would make. Since a while now, this one guy, called Pokefound, an obviously creative name intended to easily grab as much people as possible, has been copied his style, and basically his artistic identity, just so he can make commissions and generate money from the fame Pokehidden had in the past. He even has a freaking Patreon on top of that.
Some people and myself pointed that out on some of his pictures on e621, about how what he's doing is very disgusting, but a lot on inconsiderate people I happened to see on e621 on a picture I complained on seem to really like to shift the goal post, ignoring everything I pointed out and say that we only hate him because he's imitating his art style, completely ignoring the fact that we're saying that his behavior of copying his name and his art style for money sake is what that is sickening us, not only because the art style is similar.
You may think that he draws like him out of respect, but look at every pictures he uploaded on Inkbunny and on e621, look at each description (The ones he uploaded himself) he puts in : Always about how he has Patreon and how he is available for commissions, the typical stuff artists write to make money generate quicker.
His freakin' profile description blatantly says "i offer pokehidden style commissions" as he has no shame whatsoever on what he is doing here.
Look at this one comment he made here, saying how he only does that because he loves drawing. Of course people start to draw by copying some other artist's name, style, and goes on doing commissions as soon as they draw.
Just look at his watching list count. +2000 already makes him look like he's only watching people just to propagate himself easily, but, you know, maybe he just likes to watch pictures, maybe. WRONG. Look at the list. While not everyone, a lot of them are, completely empty accounts. Do you know what that basically means ? He is watching people at random, people he randomly find around, just for the sake of advertising himself even more. He's so inconsiderate his profile page is disabled, you know why ? Easy to guess : He doesn't want to get the flood of "Thanks for watching me" and probably doesn't want to deal with people like me who would love to say how sick he is to be doing that and think that's actually fine. Looks like he recently enabled comments on his profile now, the only comments he's getting are "Thanks for the watch" and this ironic one saying "I don't know why you're watching me" and even made funnier because they don't seem to get the dude is watching everyone at random
It's really sickening to see people that actually think that what he is doing is absolutely fine. The guy is basically profiting on a dead artist for easy fame and money making, and people are buying into his crap. Do you know what this is telling us ? That most of the previous fans of Pokehidden didn't actually care about the guy, just the art itself. Really disgusting to see people supporting what he's doing.

The reason people dont care, cos just about everyone does this. Heck just go to deviantart. you gonna find about 700 people who are copying bleedman's artstyle. People who do anything for fame and attention, I would know cos I was in a rather bothersome "friendship" with someone who disregarded others for their own gain.
THAT and Pokehidden wasnt exactly a nice fellow But I dont wanna get in detail about that since half the time people are more in denial about popular people and willingly ignore the bad things they did themselves.

I would mostly think that has more to do on how people really only care about the influx or art and nothing around that. Copying style is not too cool, but my main beef isn't that alone, it's how he copies the style and the namesake as he is Pokehidden Version 2.0, while his only reason to do so is to generate money.

Also a drawing style isn't copyrightable nor reserved for One person. Imho copying is allowed, because it will never be a 1:1 copy anyway. Impersonating an artist however....just no. Bad idea...

There are no rules about watching everyone so he is in the right, however there's no denying that he's doing that for the sake of advertising himself everywhere. Not like he would care to watch everything he has on his new submission list, too busy looking at his Patreon and see if he got new patrons, which is obviously more important
