My artistfriend [iconname]Jon[/iconname] decided to tag me in one of those chainmail dealies. Y'know, the type where you have to do something, then pass it on? Apparently, the gist is that he got asked 11 questions, then he tagged me and ten others and asked us 11 questions of his own. Since I'm feeling wordy right now (a surplus of words since I've not written in some time), I'm going to do both sets of questions. Why?
Because. Here we go.
1. What is your official fursona's species?
- Grey Wolf. Simple enough.
2. If forced into changing said species, what would you pick?
- My first instinct was to say fox, but since there are way too many of those already in my life (four at my last count), I'll go with polar bear.
3. If you have a favorite fetish, what is it and explain why? If you don't have one at all, is there one that particularly piques any curiosity / interest in your artwork?
- Inflation. Dunno really *why*, but I know it was there since my childhood. Seeing things like the Roger Rabbit cartoon where he's blown up to near bursting by a Suk-O-Lux vacuum always made me feel 'weird but good'. The Internet came along and clarified it for me and...well...high school was quite the discovery period.
4. Best Final Fantasy game: FF6 or FF7? Why your decision?
- I'm assuming that by FF6, we're talking about FF3 in America (because we just *have* to be purists about it). Since I never really beat FF7 and almost beat FF3 in college, I'd give the edge to that. Honestly, I don't really care. The Final Fantasies are a bit polarizing to me anyhow.
5. Favorite game hero of all time and why?
- Ratchet from the Ratchet & Clank series. He's likely the most genuine hero you'll meet that actually talks more than a few words at a time. He's got heart, has emotions, and for those who played the Future series of games, you know he'd go to incredible lengths for his friends. Much better than an Italian plumber who gets strung along by his dick by a princess or a loudmouth hedgehog with way too many underage friends. **EDIT** Oh yeah, I almost forgot, he has a gun that fires 2000 missiles a minute while playing The 1812 Overture. Top THAT, Mario.
6. Favorite game villain of all time and why?
- Dr. Nefarious from the same series of games as #5. This is a robot who just exudes evil and genius, but is still fallible enough to make mistakes and, in keeping with the comedic nature of the game, go over the top with his anger at said mistakes...to the point of jamming his internal software and picking up space opera transmissions. Classic.
7. In any work (movie, TV, game, etc.), what's the saddest moment you've ever seen, and was it enough to even make you break down into tears?
- Monsters, Inc, where Sully has to take Boo back to her room and leave her there. You can see that it's breaking his heart to leave her where she has to be and the hug she gives him is so genuine that even now, it makes me misty-eyed. This is all made better about five minutes later when he goes through her repaired door and his face brightens at her calling him 'kitty!"
8. If there's one thing you hate about some fellow artist(s), what is it and why does it get under your skin? Totally anonymous question here. No names should be given.
- If there's anything that annoys me, it's that some artists spend arguably too much of their money getting commissions for their whore of a character. Intentional or not, it rubs my own lower-class income right into my face. That and it just...takes something away from the character to be fucked by so many so visibly.
9. What is / was your favorite subject in high school?
- Music. It was the only thing that made me feel safe there; whole, even.
10. What's a stereotype of a species in the furry fandom you never understood?
- Not necessarily species, but I have never understood colorations from some people. Seeing four-foot-long spearmint green cock, for example. I guess normality just needs to GTFO. This coming from someone whose wildest side is his patchy tail. I'm just a fuddy-duddy I guess.
11. Are all female fox-anthros doomed to have mega-tits in most artwork they're portrayed in?
- Nope. Smaller breasts are just fine too.
Here's Jon's set of questions, continuing at 12.
12. If you could speak one other language, what would it be?
- Swedish. It seems really crazy, but logical somehow. And swedish people are kickass. *wink!*
13. What is your favorite book? if you haven't read a book, what is your favorite bathroom product that you read the text on while at the bathroom?
- Argh, I don't think I can narrow this down to ONE favorite. I'm currently reading the David Eddings series based on the travels of Garion (and liking it). I read the Animorphs series all the way through high school. Most all of the Warcraft/Starcraft/Diablo books are worth lengthy reads, so...yeah.
14. what is the capital of Assyria?
- Ashur, but it was later renamed to Calah. *walks calmly across the bridge*
15. Do you have any game/movie/tv-series that you won't watch/play out of principle, even tho you know you'd prolly enjoy it?
- PONIES. I'd probably enjoy the MLP series more if I wasn't so disillusioned by the fans seeming to snub their noses at those of us who'd rather NOT be called a brony. I know I've friends who aren't like that to me about the series (Alfie), but it's still hard to enjoy it when I'm told I *will* love it and that "I just need to lighten up and watch it because everyone else is." (I don't know if that was ever said verbatim or not, but you get my point)
16. What is the biggest or hardest betrayal that has ever happened to you? (f.ex your dad promised to take you out for ice cream when you where 7 but broke his promise)
- Dresden. That's what. Let's move on.
17. If you had to choose one religion to prove to be true, which one would it be? (can choose from any kind of fiction or media, it's all fantasy ;D)
- Flying Spaghetti Monster. It looks badass and well...I don't *think* it's evil or inherently bad. Besides...could be fun, being absorbed into gooey noodly weirdness.
18. One kind of new technology your hoping to see within the next 10 years.
- The ability to pass on perspectives/memories through visual stimulation. Not movies, I mean direct transfers of memories from someone to someone else so that they could learn and grow. Perspectives could stand to be enforced more...politicians would need to be tested on these before running for office.
19. What is your favorite/least hated adaptation of something? (f.ex a movie into a game, game into a movie, book into game ect.)
- Up to Movie 4, the Harry Potter movies were enjoyable. Then he started being...angsty and teenagery and I found I had better things to do. Going the other way, the Spiderman 2 Movie Game was fantastic and a standalone amongst a sea of garbage cash-in titles.
20. What is your earliest memory?
- Flying on a plane to Disneyland in California. I can't really remember anything about Disneyland itself, but I remember the plane ride and all the crap I had to keep my 3-4 year old mind busy.
21. Lets say an alien race of furries invade Earth intent on world domination, what kind of alien/furry species would it need to be for you to want to have them as supreme overlords before starting to convert the human population? :P
- The nice kind that just wants to help us get past our petty problems as human beings and accept each other by leveling the playing field and turning us ALL into furries...oh, and if they happen to like inflation and have found a way to make bursting both non-lethal and extremely pleasurable, that'd be swank too.
22. What can change the nature of a man?
- Suffering, heartache, loss...and then the drive to get back up, to have the fortitude to be able to get back up...and the courage to do it knowing there's always more. Love can change the nature of a man, too...but not always for the better.
Well, that's about it. If you'd like to write stuff yourself, feel free, but I'm not the tagging kind of person. At all. I like challenges like this, but I'm okay with this branch ending at me.
Laters!
