A couple good reads!

by
A talented furry writer and friend,
Winterimage
Winterimage
, has uploaded two great stories, today!

(First, a note: Yes, he does write cub-porn stories, which are certainly good-to-great stories in their own right, so that's fair warning for browsing his gallery-- However, these are NOT cub porn, so those who won't read such stories for whatever reason need not worry. :) Some of his stories aren't. :) Now, with that caveat out of the way....)

First up, one of his first furry stories, one of my favourites, and a clean children's SF/fantasy story: "The Mouse Who Went to the Moon" ->
The Mouse Who Went to the Moon by Winterimage

This one reminds me of some of the SF stories prior to the 1950s, particularly of the "juvenile" variety, with its whimsical depiction of what it would be like to go to the Moon-- In this case, the moon of the furry world of Haven and the legends of same that carry a young boy mouse to his destination in the hope that he could help his family and his best friend after a terrible winter that had left them starving. If you have read earlier versions from FA. SoFurry and CubCentral, this is newly re-edited and updated, and worth the reread. :) If you're encountering it for the first time, enjoy! It's very uplifting, all about not giving up hope in even the most desperate of times. :)

Second up is quite a surprise-- A novella that's also an entry for my first Writing Challenge (squirrel, panties, radio)-- And what a read! While it's rated "A" for Adult situations, it's also a first-rate science-fiction novella (oh, yes- It IS a long one!) with a squirrel-girl protagonist in a post-human furry world as she obsesses in repairing her "thing"- a radio. :) It's fun, silly, even a bit naughty, and most assuredly very squirrelly! Its world setting and characterisation is excellent. :) This one certainly is a day-brightener, and it's obviously Winterimage had fun writing this tale, even getting carried away with its length! I'm not even done reading this, and I highly recommend this already! :) So go read "Elanie and the Thing" ->
and be sure to give yourself plenty of time! :) This certainly has given me my squirrel fix for the day, and made me smile. :)

Thanks, Winter- I really appreciate it! :)

Any time! And thanks to you for recommending my stories. I feel really, really flattered. I'll definitely check out your other challenges to see if my muse can get going again, but as you have probably learned by now, it might take a while.

It's for that very reason I put no expiry date on these, and continue to advertise the previous Challenges, just in case. :) What I really should do, it put links to the original posts when I list the Challenges. :)
