My motto: "My personal belief of the right to privacy is that a person can believe, do, or like anything they want unless they cause unavoidable harm to or interference with another person's existence in doing so."
To put this into perspective, to me, it's okay to believe in any religion, but it's wrong to use that belief to discriminate against someone (like LGBTQ). That's where I originally developed this motto, but to my delight, it's a pretty universal maxim. Like, I can use this to explain why, for example, lolicon/foal/cub digital art is perfectly fine as it is entirely confined to fiction whereas real life pedophilia is unacceptable as it involves harming real, living individuals. NOTE: While it's okay to like, say, lolicon/cub, it's NOT okay to force that like upon someone else who doesn't enjoy it. At the same time, it's not okay for that someone else to bash you for liking it.
