Hi there!
Who is Gearlock? Well, I'm an Illustrator and Graphic Designer, been at it since the mid 90s. So yea I am a bit of a greymuzzle. Been involved in furry art since 2000 or so. As you will see, I tend to do a great deal of bondage and fetish art. I used to do commissions but I have had issues with focus and motivation, due to anxiety/depression, so I have been hesitant to resume that. It's been a while, but I'm feeling the creative and pervy spark again, so we will see what happens. I do a lot of pencil work, though I like to do digital art from time to time.
My fursona has been a white tiger, usually with tribal stripes. They tend to change shape as my character concept has been a warlock of sorts, dabbling in dark arts mostly to indulge his fascination with infernal creatures. I used to RP quite a bit. It was fun. It was actually important in figuring out who I am, especially my sexuality and how I love (bi/pan/poly/kinkyswitch). I made friends that I was happy to talk to, and even become intimate with on a certain level. I do miss it. I'm way out of practice and a bit of a hermit, so I haven't been into it.
I've always felt like an awkward outsider, especially in the fandom. I've been to a few furry events and felt like the weird creep in the room every time. I'd still like to be involved, just not sure how these days. We used to have AIM to chat with folks. Now there's Telegram and Discord, but I feel lost and overwhelmed anymore. Maybe I will figure it out. I'd like to make friends, talk to fellow artists, who knows.
