Gateway Fur Meet, or GFM, is an annual convention that takes place in the wonderful city of St. Louis, Missouri. We come together in celebration of art, literature, and performance based around science fiction, fantasy, and anthropomorphic characters.
Gateway Fur Meet is a production of its parent 501 (c)(3) non-profit organization, Gateway Furry Fandom (GFF). Since April of 2014, we have been providing a fun atmosphere for learning and performance, while also raising money for charities that promote and provide the safety and well being of animals and children. Our goal is to bring diverse communities together, including the furry, sci-fi, fantasy fandoms, and we welcome any who wish to take part in our convention and learn more about what these communities are all about.
Our first convention, GFM 2014: Wild Wild West “Gateway to the West”, took place April 18th through the 20th of 2014, on Easter weekend. Our first theme was a tribute to the American West, in keeping with St. Louis’ rich history as a frontier city during the United States’ westward expansion.
While 2014 marked our first year in existence, we continue to look forward to bringing you an exciting, fun weekend spent with authors, performers, and artists in and out of the furry fandom. We hope to see you there! __
Disclaimer We are aware that there has been some confusion as to the origin of Gateway Fur Meet. GFM’s parent company Gateway Furry Fandom (previously known as ARFF) has changed its name to avoid confusion with the Arch Regional Furs, or ARF. Neither Gateway Furry Fandom nor Gateway Fur Meet are associated with or part of ARF. This page is a placeholder for GFM, if you would like to contact us please go to our website, furaffinity, facebook, or twitter. Thank you.
