Once you’ve narrowed down the type of strain you want, you can choose the kind of cannabis you want to grow. Do you want to grow a type of high-CBD strain that gets you through the day without making you feel too “drugged out?” Or do you prefer edibles and vape pens? Is smoking the only way you want to consume your weed? Then you’ll want to go with strains that are easy to grow and to consume, since most seeds are best used by dry flowers or oils.

Once you’ve picked the type of strain you want, you’ll want to find seeds to match your preferences. You’ll need to decide between indoor and outdoor varieties, high- and low-THC, light- and heavy-flavored, seedbanks with more flavor, and more. When it comes to your seedbank, you want to find the one that you’ll be happiest with the most often.

So which seed should you go with? Read on to learn more about the different seed types, strains, and varieties, and see what’s right for you.

Indoor and Outdoor Seeds

If you want to grow outdoors, or if you just have a limited space, indoor seeds may be the best option for you. You don’t need a whole lot of space to grow indoor plants, since most indoor-friendly plants only need a space no larger than eight feet by ten feet.

Even if you plan to grow outdoors, you may still choose to start indoors since you don’t have a fully-developed garden plot to take over. Growing in a greenhouse is a great choice, but if you don’t have access to a greenhouse or a space outside, indoor seeds are a good alternative.

You can grow most of your cannabis indoors, and once you’ve gotten a good start growing, you’ll be able to move to an outdoor location. Some high-THC strains are better suited to growing indoors. If you choose this route, you’ll want to make sure your grow area is well ventilated, and you keep an eye out for pests, so you can keep things thriving.

When it comes to your seeds, make sure to pick seeds that are more suited to indoor conditions. Since you won’t be exposing your indoor plants to direct sunlight, you’ll need to opt for outdoor-friendly seeds. Since outdoor plants don’t have to worry about their light, you can choose seeds with higher THC levels.

Since you don’t need to worry about light availability when you grow indoors, you’ll have plenty of space to grow your plants in. However, you’ll have to take into consideration where you’re going to set up your grow, as it will need some proper sunlight, ventilation, and water to survive.

If you plan on growing indoors, you can grow both the best outdoor seeds as well as indoor-friendly seeds. Whether you want a good, indoor-friendly option or a strain that is meant to be grown outdoors, indoor seeds are the perfect option for a beginner.

High- and Low-THC Seeds

There are two major categories of marijuana seeds, indoor seeds and outdoor seeds. While indoor seeds are great for a beginner, indoor seeds have several disadvantages. Some indoor plants grow more quickly and are easier to grow, and with low THC content, you won’t get too high from your indoor plants.

On the other hand, outdoor seeds have a higher THC count, but not as high a THC content as indoor seeds. When growing indoors, you’ll want to stick to indoor seeds with low THC levels, so you don’t experience any high, and instead, get the relaxation and stimulation you’re looking for.

If you don’t live in a state with legal marijuana or medical marijuana, you’ll be stuck with a low-THC option. However, in most states, you can use marijuana seeds that pack higher THC levels, since marijuana is already legal, so your plants won’t get in trouble for growing with THC levels higher than .3 percent. If you live in a state where you can’t grow weed legally, you’ll have to start with high-THC seeds to ensure your plants get the THC levels they need.
