Profile
Many people love their Disney Vacation Club membership, from time to time -depending on the reasons, people choose to offer their membership. What should you do if your membership is up for sale? There are two alternatives. One option is to give the contract to Disney to purchase back. You can be certain that you'll receive an appropriate price for your vacation points should they choose to purchase it back. A resale broker is the second option, and the one that the majority of people choose to work with. Resale brokers are real estate brokers who are licensed (a necessity to represent or sell timeshares). It is simple to follow:

Reach out to a resale brokerage's office
Contact a representative of a resale brokerage to discuss your contract's details (home resort the year of use, the number of points, status of points, etc. You can contact us via.
Once you have that information, your agent will let you know what your contract could be worth in light of the market.
Once you've settled on the price for your membership, the agent will send you an agreement for listing. Fill out the information and scan or forward it by fax to the broker.
Once the payment has been receivedby the broker, they will confirm the points when they get the payment from Disney. They will discuss pricing with you. Once that's completed, they will list your package. Whenever you are looking a useful content on DVC resale, navigate to this website.

It could be less than 30 days based the broker you choose to find a buyer. When a buyer has been found the closing process takes between 6 and 8 weeks to be completed. Once the deal is completed the title company will mail a certified check to you to cover the proceeds of the sale (selling price less any fees as well as commission for the broker, which is usually 8.5 percent of the sales price). Selling your contract usually approximately 8.5% commission payable to the broker and a $150 fee charged by Disney at the closing.

You will usually not be charged any fees or charges when your contract isn't sold. Our site's sponsors, The Timeshare Store, has been in business representing buyers and sellers of Disney Vacation Club for more than 25 years. They don't charge upfront costs, and they handle all of the elements of the sale including finding a buyer as well as promoting your contract, as well as collecting all documents needed, including the deposit for escrow. The Timeshare Store will also manage Disney's Right of First Refusal process (Disney reserves the right to purchase the contract when they believe it's in their best interest to do so).
