Single post if you're dropping it all at once, either way if posting one at a time.

If you're making it page by page, then single images in a pool.

If the whole thing is done, then drop it as a single stacked submission.

You can upload new images to a single post and still send out notifications for them later, so that's a far better option imo than cluttering a gallery with a lot of pages spread out. It's easier to read through, link to, and organize.

single pages, post one per day and people will be expecting the next one page ^^

Gradual release, one page at a time. And be sure to post it at lower quality, so people can view it full quality elsewhere. Don’t give it all up for free. ;3

Artists as good as Oni need to get paid.

Sure, but intentionally crippling your content limits your reach and increases piracy, providing a worse experience for everyone for no gain.

(Also note that Onihidden has already been (indirectly) paid for this comic through his SubscribeStar, since it's been the main content there for months.)

You can't help what others will do. Losers who pirate content weren't ever gonna pay for it to begin with, so that's a moot point.
Oni should do everything he can to maximize profit for his hard work!
So posting lower quality teasers to promote his SubscribeStar for more is the way to go.

People already get enough of his content for free.

Crippling content would not necessarily substantially increase revenues, and might even result in a net loss.

It's better to monetize with your users rather than against them.

It's not crippling if they weren't originally gonna see it anyways. And promotional stuff is good. They are still getting to see it, just in a restricted way. Which is better than not at all!

There's no way to monetize with the audience cos here I am giving Oni ideas to how to monetize, while everyone else (including you) just want him to post the full thing for free.
So no, that's a false statement.
I didn't say not to post it, just to post it at lower res so people that support Oni are rewarded for their support!

So there you have it.

I just don't think crippling the free version would somehow "reward" supporters more.

(In fact, I was a supporter for several months and I would really hate if the free version was crippled.)

But overall, I think your big problem is that you have no idea how the attention economy works.

Probably multiple posts in a pool to gain more collective views and favorites?

Definitely prefer a single-post/pool, it keeps it so much tidier and organized :) (generally makes it easier to find the whole complete comic without accidentally missing out on a page)

I'm not too familiar with Inkbunny, but a single post with pages sounds best for usability.

(Also, I think it would consolidate all comments?)

For those following at home, you can now see the comic here.
