Mass popularity means a lot of people want to hitch their cart to your horse for whatever reason. That and there are lots of fake people who love bringing others down just to make themselves feel better. It's hard to trust especially if you're the kind of person who tries to give people the benefit of the doubt. That's what I get from it anyways.

Well its obviously about a crowd of faceless people slowly chipping away at their heart with no regards for the persons feelings, essentially destroying their happiness and tolerance for cruel and stupid people. I forget who said it but it's called "Hardening of the soul" nasty and inconsiderate people eventually chip away at you till all you are is a grumpy angry hateful person, or a depressed suicidal person. Sometimes hand in hand, with the grumpy being a social defense mechanism, and the depression is only shown to a few/personally.
Most of the time when people can display their displeasure without getting angry, and people listen or experience the same thing, it can make a person feel much better. Half the problem with depression is feeling alone in your feelings. I think a lot of artists can relate to it in different ways. Good art does that. It has subtle meaning and engages many people at once.

Sometimes you gotta say "FUCK THE WORLD" and realize half of them are actually morons selfishly blundering through this wasteland of average intelligence. You do art because you love it, you don't have to do it for a job. You dont have to accept every idiots request for generic pose number 23. You can restrict your art how you want. Say you want to do the pose, or have an idea for a scene. why do they have to dictate everything?

Zaush, I felt like that maybe 6 years ago. I was 17, all my friends weren't really friends. everything they did to gain happiness and love interests seemed to be at the cost of mine. I cycled out those friends, made new ones over time. Found friends that share their happiness so both find love and happiness.Good people are out there. Bad people will find you out to take advantage of a good heart (Which you have)

Probably, I think it's a little bit of both, if anything. I've seen outright jackasses, but also people who just take offense too easily. Guess the internet makes it too easy for these two to come into regular contact with each other. x3
