Character Description
Once a human, Charlotte took form after absorbing the Parasite queen. She retains her human torso, arms, and head, but has a spider lower body as a result.
Personality
Charlotte's character is at most, childlike. She's very optimistic and naive, despite her rather frequent bouts of depression over her new form. She also has a very good sense of humor, including some potty humor as well.
Likes/Dislikes
Likes: her job as a scientific researcher, spiders, her foster brother, and her friends. Loves pizza and being showered with love. She's very social and loves big parties and making/fixing things with her webs.
Dislikes: rude people, stressful environments, cold temperatures. sad movies
Background/History
In a world where science and magic are interchangeably used, Charlotte, her brother, Dennis, and their friend, Evangeline Salem were college roommates trying to make their way through college. The three were drafted by their government to combat against a pandemic parasite hive based on their interests. Evangeline, despite studying to become a urologist, became one of the top heads in medical research, Dennis, with prior military experience and knowledge on how to kill the parasites, headed the defense force, and Charlotte, majoring in Biology, headed the research on all the parasites.
She discovered,t he parasites were amorphous, and would devour their hosts slowly while taking control of their bodies. The parasites could also remember things from the hosts they devoured and could shapeshift into them once they were big enough. She found out the parasites were colonial and had a queen that gave birth to them. Once they found the nest, Charlotte , Dennis, and Evangeline fought their hardest to eliminate the sentient queen, who was self-named "Madonna."
As a last resort, the dying queen took Charlotte as hostage and made her the host. Charlotte begged her brother and Evangeline to kill her, but he refused, with hopes he could save her, he struggled until Charlotte overpowered Madonna and took on her new spider form.
Nobody knows how the parasite colony came to be, but they knew the cultprit, a mage named Piotrek, was responsible and had him arrested once the conflict was over.
