Early design for a shiny eevee character, named Raincloud (Rain for short), from a story that I'm working on. At this point Rain's supplanted the prior main character - a pikachu - because of the more interesting ideas that popped in my head as I looked up eevees and their depiction in the various pokémon media. Particularly in the Trading Card Game and the Manga.

The story will include the other eeveelutions.

The idea I'm going with is that he's been magically altered by a Mew, who gave him the ability to evolve into any eeveelution for a brief period (after which he changes back to a Eevee). Why the Mew did this is not yet known to him.

The idea was inspired by Red's eevee Vee in the manga, who had much the same power.
