Maybe he'd not mind that I long ago used the name "Moof" as the name of a worldwide computer cancer that had engulfed an entire planet, and it had to be somehow shut down, as it attempted to seed the earth as well.

The story was not well written.

In an early draft, the computer cancer was named "Infinitus" which was a hokey name. It almost stopped the story.
