I'll be opening commissions to the public soon! Soonish! I'm working on smoothing the process by testing it out with friends first.
Fitting for October, we have here Shrinking Violet, a 300 year-old self-proclaimed "The Boogeymare"! Though Princess Luna might claim some contest to that.
As a nightmare spirit, Violet is capable of taking many spooky forms, varying from disturbing to silly. Is the skeleton her real form?? Is it merely a macabre Sunday wear?? The real question is: Why haven't you done your homework, Violet?
Although I attempted to find some horse skeletal references for this image, I was unfortunately limited mostly to profile views and not able to find clear images of specific bones such as the female pelvis. In addition, to make the character fit slightly better in the pony style, I intentionally made her skeletal form a bit cartoony, looking at Mario enemies for reference. This is why she has blocky hoof-bones and ears.
P.S. If anyone can suggest an online payment processor that serves at least both the U.S. and U.K. and is not Paypal, I'd be real grateful! Also it'd be nice to know how VAT affects U.S. artists when dealing with E.U. clients.
I still have a bone to pick with this filly...spineless numbskull that she is, scaring my little girl like that. She may just have been ribbing her, but it's not humerous in my book!
