Happy Halloween! Even Funderlanders love this day!

It's Halloween in Funderland, and Lazlow's feelin' the Halloween spirit! Or one could say that tonight he is the Halloween spirit. First, a quick explanation of Lazlow's Emovere powers. Lazlow may be kinda short, and not particularly strong, but his words are intoxicating, hypnotic even. Normally, he can't simply make you do things by telling you, anyone keeping their wits about them around him can deter his tricks. His words appeal to the subconscious mind directly, they don't force you to do anything, but they twist around your instincts, impair your senses, warp your memories. If you're not careful, you will walk right into his traps and feel right for doing so... Until he releases you from his thrall, and you suddenly realize you're completely helpless, and now fully lucid to endure his sadistic pleasures~ The more excited he becomes, the more powerful his words become, even stronger cautious minds will find themselves fooled and unaware. Eventually he can reach a peak in his excitement, and ascends to a temporary state of super power, called Hypervescence. Lazlow's Hypervescence This is what you're seeing here.

Early in the evening on Halloween night, the big moon high in the sky, partially cloudy, the multitude of Trick-or-Treaters skulked the night, playing mischievous tricks and reaping many treats. Among them, a pale boy with vibrant purple hair contrasting his body's fur. He fit right in, looking like a child himself almost, a young teenager perhaps, but a pitch dark power and intent within him. And the boy was looking to play some tricks. He spots his first victims, a dainty princess with fur as pale as his, accompanied by her vampire bodyguard. He goes to them and tells them he has a treat for them both, to meet a real boogeyman. His words were deeply touching, unnaturally so, but they didn't know that, and soon found themselves trailing behind him. Number three and four soon followed him as well, two bunny siblings walking from house to house together, one big footed girl, naturally pink furred, and her brother Who was studying to be a Doctor, even though he was only eleven. Followed by two already, they weren't hard to convince to follow him, and any doubts they had were easily suppressed by the boy's enthralling voice. They walked toward the pumpkin patch, and found there two lads, a mummy and a skeleton already on the outskirts of the field, walking along with a bounty of treats to their next destination. The posse on their way to meet the ghost greeted them both and urged them to follow. At first they had no intention of coming along, but Lazlow's words quickly changed that. He had grown very excited as this night progressed, his thrall had grown strong, all he needed to say was "trust me, you wanna see this" and their hearts were swayed, albeit instincts askew. How delightful this was, how utterly delicious. Six hapless trick-or-treaters trailing along behind him into the pumpkin patch. And now the finale time had come, the grand show of the evening. His excitement peaked at last, and now in the middle of the pumpkin patch, purple smoke poured from his fur, and he turned around to face the kids, eyes dark and hollow save for the two orbs hanging in the middle of the sockets. He announced it was time to meet the boogeyman, or rather, that they already had, and followed him into the pumpkin patch. They stood in awe, helpless under his thrall, all instincts to run suppressed by his magical words. A large Jack-o-Lantern beneath Lazlow absorbed the haze spilling from his pale body, and grew to an epic proportion with him on top of it. The lantern's grin twisted upward upon seeing the kids. This was no mere pumpkin, but a gourd spirit native to the land. And Lazlow was now in Hypervescence, his thrall spread to the spirit itself. His words were so potent now, all he needed to do was tell the kids to remove their footwear and take a seat inside the Jack-o-Lantern.
The spirit opened it's orange maw, and the kids stepped right in, leaving their shoes outside. Any rational being would be terrified, but their fears and survival instincts were deactivated, coaxed to sleep... Until the pumpkin closed its teeth down, trapping the kids' legs between its teeth. At that moment, Lazlow released them from his grasp, now held by the pumpkin's, and suddenly they came to their senses. Fearful pleas and vengeful threats spewed from within the pumpkin, but were short-lived. Lazlow giggled as a rainbow of glowing hands flew in from across the field. The clamor of frightened words were soon replaced with peals of childish laughter, the spectrum of wisps also at Lazlow's command began tickling the young feet poking out from between the lantern's teeth, all but the princess, whom the spirit claimed for himself, holding her toes and stroking her feet with his prehensile vines. The skeleton lad in the middle seemed to have it the worst, as he had the most ticklish feet of the bunch, and the wisps caught right on, many flocking to him in response. But that's ultimately unimportant, the wisps don't care if you're ticklish or not. They go straight for the nerves, they have no trouble getting to them, being semi-ethereal in nature. Ticklish or not, prepare to scream with laughter if they touch you, even indirectly. Their feathers and brushes seem to go deeper than just the surface too. And look, Lazlow came prepared with plenty of feathers and brushes, and even toe ties for the wisps to pull back some toes with. Lil' skeleton toes were no match at all.

And look again! More kiddos approaching, all of their own volition this time. Some looked on at the squealing kids in fear, some in interest, but all in fascination. The boogeyman atop the grinning gourd giggles and smiles darkly at them. He invites them all to join in the fun, that they can take the place of any one of these kids at anytime, but to be warned, they will not be getting out until someone volunteers to take their place. They could be there a few minutes, or even until sunrise. Lots of mumbling, many thoughtful curious faces darting back and forth... And up go a few hands~

Have a happy Halloween with lotsa screams and laughs. ;3
