Boy, lil' Miss Tucker sure cuts an fine figure from afar. It's only when you get close that she becomes a literal scarecrow~
I love the super simplified birds you're drawing for this. In fact I love all the little touches! It's what I always knew your style could produce if you did something more complete like this, so to see it unfold like this is way rad. <3

I've really been trying!  It's really weird, a lot of the stuff that people really like and I've been trying to develop started out as ways to fill space (the filigree and odd panels) or shortcuts (all of the background texturing), but the little artifacts help jazz things up a bit, I think, when I can really spend the time on them.

Of course I have other things I wanna try so the style is still going to fluctuate a bit... but that's bound to happen.

At a time when people are so fit-to-form with their medium, when there's been a Right Way and a Wrong Way to do comics for so long, seeing you just fill the margins and blank spots with spooky doodles is refreshing in the extreme.

Oh yeah.  There are SO many cookie cutter four panel comics and strips that I really like it when one has a visual tick or some sort of writing quirk that really grabs me.  A lot of them are really hard to explain, too.
