Drowing Dalmatian Gal
Looking around all she could see was darkness, and all she feel was wetness.
Perdita didn't know at first how she had even ended up where she was, but the memories of recent events started to play up for her.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
She had just been doing her regular walk on an autumn afternoon with her owner Anita through the park, when suddenly a male Dalmatian showed up and started to bark and run around the two of them wildly! (And with his male owner Rodger right behind him, trying his hardest to control his dog.)
Unknown to her Pongo (The name of the male Dalmatian.) had been acting in this strange way only as an attempt to make the their two human owners fall in love with each other, and his way of doing it had started to end up with them tangling together in his leash and both falling into the nearby park lake!
And if that wasn't a bad enough ending of an accidental love gesture Anita had been holding a really strong grip on her leash, and when she fell into the water she dragged her own pet dog in with her!
The humans had luckily only fallen in next to the shore, and could quickly get back up again. The same couldn't be said about Perdita, who had ended up further out and was now several feet under the surface.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Once she remembered how she had ended up in her strange environment Perdita just wanted to escape it, but when she took off towards the surface she couldn't move!
Pulling a few more times she knew what the problem was. Her leach seemed to be wrapped around a big branch that was resting at the bottom of the lake!
Panic was starting to take over her now, as Perdita jerked with her neck a few more times in an attempt to either break the branch, break the leach, or pull it off her body, but nothing got changed. (Except for her wasting a lot of her precious time and air.)
Looking up she could barley see the light coming down to her. Being that it was both during autumn and a cloudy day there was next to no sunlight being shined down into the murky lake water. (Making it next to impossible for her to swim down to the branch and see where and how her leach was stuck.)
Something else that Autumn was brining was a lot more lower temperatures, and that in return lead to the lake water being very cold as well.
Being in this state of almost complete darkness and next to no body heat was making Perdita start to think that her body might have already died, and her mind was just slow to catch up.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Feeling the pressure in her chest and lungs only growing worse and worse Perdita was starting to accept the sad reality.
She wasn't going to make it.
They where not be able to save her in time.
She was going to end up drowning at a bottom of a lake. All alone. And sad.
Having thoughts of fear and suicide flying through her mind and only getting more and more dominant Perdita couldn't take it any longer, and just wanted this torture to end!
So with a final happy image in her mind of her and her owner Anita, Perdita looked up at the far away light, cried a few tears, and then gave out a big sad howl for help, letting all of her remaining air out in the process!
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
As the water started to rush down into her mouth and down her lungs Perdita looked up at the light one last time as her vision started to get blurry, she lost the feelings in her legs, and her eyes lost that black colour they had and just turned white.
In only a matter of seconds the tied up dog went from being barley alive to completely dead, and as the water was starting to fill her up the Dalmatian female slowly sank down towards the bottom of the lake, for what would now become her final resting place.
