The concept for the diamonds was expanding more on the Dark typing of Scrafty, as opposed to the Fighting side which gets more notice. Instead of focusing on brute force, he's one of the only Scrafty to rely on special attacks and is actually capable at it. His more effeminate ways though have probably lead him to be a bit of the gang's bitch... well, until they all met Alaxei.
