You have no idea how much i love this character. The game just makes sure you grow affection for Toriel in any way possible and it worked, the first time i've played i killed Toriel by accident, i cried uncontrollably as i screamed at the screen and closed the game hoping for the best because i didn't knew you could spare even if the character didn't let you do so. I loaded and spared Toriel and got the special dialogue from Flowey about regret.
This game made me cry TWICE in just 40 minutes of gameplay and kept doing so for the rest of the game, Undertale its an emotion roller coaster and i fucking love it. You should totally check it out if you haven't yet
