Teàrlach and Willa were married soon after in the abbey on a cool autumn night. It wasn’t the grand wedding the sow badger had had when she married Bryce, nor was it the quiet one the todd had when he married Siubhan. It was a small wedding, occupied by only the denizens of the abbey and a few from the surrounding farms.
The vulpine and the mustelid’s vows were simple and traditional. They promised to love one another, to always be faithful, and to be together til death. When the Abbot finally spoke the words, “You may now kiss the bride,” everyone cheered as Teàrlach and Willa shared their first kiss as a married couple, though some would say the kiss lasted a bit too long.
The two settled together in their own accommodations, taking a small abandoned farm house about half a mile from the abbey’s walls. They lived happily there, raising livestock and keeping a small garden. Teàrlach and Willa had several children and many grandchildren, and lived long and happy lives.
