I didn't mind the hint drops at first, and even snickered a bit at them. But, as the show kept trying to be as subtle as Eric Idle in the Nudge Nudge sketch about it, it started to become groan-worthy. My biggest problem is that how it's being presented on the show doesn't feel natural. It feels like the one joke in the show that doesn't work at all, but they keep going back to it.
As for this scenario, I wouldn't mind seeing how it plays out (or maybe commission a full comic if I had the cash). It seems to be the one unlikely pairing that I haven't seen yet.
