So i came up with an AU where sonic fights against crime in a normal city, where eggman is no longer a villain trying to take over the world but works for a higher up gang group formed of robots trying to cause chaos. shadow is an addict, he smokes and is addicted to taking drugs to try and help him cope with life, tails (sonics younger adopted brother) is left at home while sonic goes out to fight crime and patrol the streets.
this was a pic of sonic visiting shadow as since shadow doesn't get out the house a lot, sonic takes it out of his time to go see his friend.
Soina, this isn't quite a picture I'm used to seeing from you, but this is amazing! This picture speaks volumes! I especially like the style of shading and colouring you used, it makes it look so dark and gritty. It's also a very interesting AU. I feel sorry for Shadow. Things must be horrible for him if he turns to drugs as a way to escape. It would be very interesting to see more of this AU!
And what horseylove9 says, I kinda agree. I'd definitely read it. However, I know you like drawing more than writing, so I will instead say that I would love to see a comic revolving around this AU instead of a fanfic. XD

Well, no matter how long it takes, I will always be excited to see something new of this AU. And I'll be excited when Fallen comes out. And I'll be excited when the visual novel is finished. XD
But still, AU's like this are very interesting. I'd be glad when I get to discover more of it, especially about what could've possible made Shadow turn into an addict.

yea but shadow comes allong and helps sometimes when he isn't in a mess and sonic tries to drag him allong, also knuckles helps sometimes if he's around but, not very often since he mostly is off doing his own thing, also in this AU sonic kinda has dreams of being a big hero, so he doesn't want anyone to steal the limelight from him in a sense xD

well i imagine in this AU there wouldn't be a situation like that, i wanted sonic and shadow to have a kinda on and off thing as, sonic does love him but fears for his wellbeing and doesn't want to get too close because he doesn't want to loose him from the drug abuse but, shadow it's similar as he doesn't want to loose someone either so, it more happens because both care for each other so much, then they realise, i guess they would both admit it to each other, but it wouldn't be in the same manner as oh i love u shadew or sanic or whatnot.

I am interested to see Sonic fight crime normally and just take care of shadow. That sounds really sweet and could be filled with a lot of conflict-character development throughout the process of the story.
I dunno. I'm just hooked from the AU itself, and the pic is really cute, shadow looks really bummed out but sorta feels a bit better from Sonic just being there.
