Depends on WHICH humans find them. This also pertains to my own anthros, but ... How stable is their genetic code ? Will it revert to NON-sentient ferality in a few generations ? I've only been able to catch brief glimpses into the nebulous future of my world... Things look good, but monitoring is needed....

Well, they have a long way to go before they can walk among men as men ! In my works, a story arc that died with my comics implied that "They who sit up in darkness" sowed a virus that created new species of humanoids. The local vet MAY be one of them, or employed by them. BUT... It's been 19 1/2 years since I last did a story in ANIMALS so the story-arc is still only implied. At least one of the New Men species, is now so advanced that they can run the world, mayhaps take membership among the rulers of the galaxy !
The others still struggle to be ready to be "pulled up by their bootstraps" , walk among men as men and be then grow into rulers of earth and finally co-rulers of the galaxy

My characters have over the years become more and more anthropomorphized. I sometimes miss the time when they lived in a den in the woods and must hide from the humans. I had to think about how to anthropomorphize them. To what extent should they be human? To what extent animal? For example I have found it difficult to determine how many boobs my vixens shall be fitted with, and therefore they have rarely been shown in bikinis. (I have now decided that they are fitted three pairs of breasts, but the uppermost pair is much larger than the other pairs, which barely are visible through the fur) My foxes walk on two legs, but they are running on all fours. The children are generally drawn more animalistic, and they become more humanized as they age.

My characters have generally lost their fur, save on their heads & tails. Thus they can hide their tails, and appear, at least from afar, as men ! Breasts have reduced to two. (prior to some genetic upgrades, some may have 2 or 3 pairs.). Human lifespans, maturity rates....
The most advanced all are potentially immortal, possess powers & abilities and are even working towards - a hive mind !

Since I haven't done ANY cartoon stories for 19 years now, and my characters were ~7 when I stopped, I have wondered whether they'd grown up by now, and have their own kids. No stories have emerged -just vague ideas...
Not that I really care... Not any more. (see my gallery)
I filled that gap with text fan-fiction (with an occasional drawing), but stopped some time ago, and haven't even done some planned text improvements. I wonder if my diabetes had anything to do with the slump, or whether going on insulin ** will snap me out of it ...
** Glimperide stopped working, there being no pancreas functioning. Metformin was discontinued because of side effects...

Some years ago, I was riding a bus from Lehman college to the GWB bus terminal, and saw a drawing some wag drew of a "flying bus" on a blank ad panel. Right behind the driver.
Big deal. This bus drove along a bumpy city road and its so-called "shock absorbers" were better described as "shock magnifiers".

When I grew up, we were taught that by the year 2000 we would have flying cars, we would fly to the moon on vacation, all the work would be performed by robots, and people would at most work a few hours a week to repair damaged robots.
The politicians now want to create artificial jobs and postpone the the retirement age...
