Luminous had some bad history with Nightshade, in fact, when Luminous was about 9 years old and when Nightshade was 10, they first met that night in Luminous' courtyard.
Of course, Nightshade used to scare him with his dark powers at the young age, he even stole Luminous' helmet and chased after him to get it back, but was forced to get to the really dark maze and went deeper through the maze there, he found Nightshade, but then cried when he was in a really dark place *You know Luminous fears the dark as always* Nightshade gave him back his helmet, and then giggled at the crying Luminous as the little thief then left his home.
Years later when they were young adults, Luminous met Nightshade again by the time he joined the Doom Raiders, and he still doesn't trust him due to the fact he's from the Dark Element AND had some history with him. However during months of Traptanium capture, they were learning to get along slowly.
