I do like Starlight Glimmer, she's a cute pony like all of them, however the hype in the brony fandom about her being a, quote "communist" is heavily misunderstood. As a long standing communist of Marxist-Leninist philosophy, I can say from experience of my study that she is not a communist. Communism is not only equality, nor is it to the extent that Starlight Glimmer expanded it to, justice has to be involved to organize and regulate the proper flow of order and equality. Along with this her total and utter unquestioned control is not anywhere supported in communist philosophy, the communist ideology welcomes criticism and self criticism especially, to deny that is to deny bettering the party and individuals.

No, China over the years has became capitalistic, turning its back on the working people in favor of profit, that's not the communist motive.
Also, communism is not a establishment of state, it's a stateless, classless society completely absent of government, boarders, currency, war, etc. What is established by communist parties is the transition period, socialism. The creation of a socialist state is to place the control in the hands of the workers, and is to make them self-governing so they can live in a world wide communist society
