I imagine most artists aren't actually aware of the manes they have as cubs. It's kind of one of those things you wouldn't be aware of unless you've done research or love cheetahs haha. When I first started getting stuff commissioned, Aogami used Google to look up a cheetah print to find a proper pattern for Tumelo's fur - and it gave him loads of leopard prints. Like, the only cheetah print in there is down several rows lol. People miss the tears often too. Sooo, it kinda seems like this happens a lot; misinformation affecting art in small ways. It's kind of become a bit of a peeve, and this one made me happy. XD
