Meal 38

"My delicious!" Drag, Snow, Dillon, and Yure moaned as they fumbled over to Glenn with a black stare on their faces and a muzzle covered in drool.  "Stay away from my delicious!"

"They've turned into the hungry dead!" cried Glenn fleeing fearfully and they gave chase.  Dillon rolled up into a ball and quickly sped up after him and struck him from behind, flattening him to the ground.  "Ow, that hurt."

"My delicious!" bellowed Drag leaping in the air and dropping down onto Glenn, rump first.

"That'll hurt even worse!" squeaked Glenn rolling out of the way before Drag dropped down on the spot.  Quickly getting back to his feet, he came face to face with Yure.  "Well, this one doesn't look so bad."

Bearing his claws and fangs, Yure hissed then jumped at Glenn, clawing and scratching at his face.  "My delicious!" meowed the kitty.

"This is bad!" cried Glenn trying to remove the angry cat from his face.  Flailing about, he finally succeeded in tossing him aside only to end up bumping face first into a large yellow belly with a "FAT" tattoo on it.

"My delicious!" drooled Snow, drops of saliva falling onto Glenn's head.  In a panic, the moogle ran away, as Snow used his powers causing geysers to erupt below his feet with pizza sauce and cheese.

"This is a really unfair fight," complained Glenn hurrying away from the trail of geysers.  Then a large one appeared in front of him blocking off his escape and raining down a torrential rain of pizza on him.  Shielding his cat-scratched face with his arm a plant sprouted by Glenn's feet and grew over him, a large leaf becoming a makeshift umbrella to keep him dry.  "Oh, yeah, I can do that."

"Delicious!" mewed Yure scampering over to him.  Glenn caused some grass to grow beneath his feet as he ran towards him.  Yure suddenly stopped in his tracks and sniffed the grass and munch a bit of it.  His face turned flush and he made an intoxicated look.  Then he began to roll in the grass lazily.

"So catnip does work," sighed Glenn with relief.  Then, without warning, Dillon steamrolled over Glenn from behind and squashed him flat before popping out of his ball shape and doing a weird dance as he grabbed some belly folds and shook them about.  "How does he fit all that blubber into his shell anyway?"

"Delicious!  Da'gya!" squealed Dillon as he finished his derpy dance and rolled up onto a ball again spinning in place to build up speed.  In response, Glenn used his plant powers to wrap vines around the rolling dillo.  When he rolled forward, the vines stretched, but held on tight.  Frantically, Glenn grew more vines to further restrain the charging dilloball, but he kept getting closer.  Glenn stood fast as he continued to wrap up Dillo, his rolling brushed against the edge of his paunch, but didn't get any close.

"I've got ya!" cried Glenn taking the opportunity to jump at the binded dillo and wrap the vines in knots binding him like he would a present.  "That's another one taken care of."  Glenn wiped the sweat off his brow and breathed deeply.

"My delicious!" Snow and Drag muttered as they double-teamed Glenn.  He countered them with a pair of vines to tie them up as well, but they easily clawed their way free and continued their attack.

"Why do you keep saying that?" asked Glenn to the same repeated words as before.  "If you're talking about me, I'm certainly tough and chewy and probably lower in calories than you are used to."

"My delicious!  My delicious!" they kept chanting mindlessly as they pursued him back towards the location of their previous battleground.  That was where Glenn noticed it, a small golden brown object floating in the air at eye level.  It was ring-shaped and could easily fit on one of the moogle's fingers easily, but it's oniony aroma gave away what it truly was.

"Some sort of magical onion ring?" asked Glenn curiously, but then thoughts back to Sundae flashed in his head that gave him goosebumps.  "An evil onion ring!  The One-ion Ring!"

"My delicious!  My delicious!" moaned Snow and Drag as they neared Glenn, but he didn't take notice of them.  He could only focus on the enticing onion ring before his eyes that was making him salivate too.

"My- my- my," groaned Glenn.

"Quantity?" scoffed Cyrus beneath the countless number of Killajors.  "I suppose it makes sense.  Ants work together to take on creatures much larger than they are individually.  But the scale you are fighting at is like an ant trying to take down an elephant.  That isn't going to happen."

Unleashing a bit of his cosmic power, Cyrus repelled all the Kills off of him in all manner of directions, but it didn't stop them from attacking him again.  Using group attacks, they pelted Cyrus with multiple spells followed by combined physical attacks.  Standing there just enduring that attacks, Cyrus lashed out with his nine tails, stabbing through the Kills or slashing them to pieces, but for every nine he mutilated twice as many took their place and continued their attack.

"Kill us all you want," they taunted.  "We'll just keep coming endlessly!"

"Is that so," replied Cyrus, retracting his tails back to their default length.  "Then there is no point in taking them out in such a manner."

Seizing that moment, the Kills attacked even fiercer than before, all the hundreds of them baking him with fire magic from all sides, encasing him in an inferno to cremate him.  Even as his fur turned to ash and his flesh burned and his organs and fat cooked, Cyrus remained.  He went from raw to rare, to well-done, and even to burnt to a crisp, but they didn't let up on the attack even then.  When they finally did stop all that remained was a pile of ash.

"Think that's enough?" asked one of the Kills.

"We should probably flush his remains down a toilet," suggested another.  "Seems appropriate in my opinion."

"Maybe we should flush him down several toilets," added another.  "To make it seem more epic."

"Then he'd have his own legend," laughed another Kill.  "Cyrus and the Seven Sacred Crappers.  Actually has a nice ring to it."  All the others burst into laughter as well.

"Shouldn't I get a say in that?" asked Cyrus from the pile of ash.  The Kills quickly became silent and stared at it.  Something began to rise up from the ashes; Cyrus as if he hadn't been burnt to death at all.  "But then again, I can't be killed by you.  Unfortunately, I am ready to kill you now."

"Kill one, kill two, hell, kill a thousand of us," one of the Kills taunted.  "It doesn't matter how many of us you kill because there is no end to us."

"Not if I kill all of you at once," he replied holding a glowing ball of light between his thumb and index fingers.  "This should be enough power."

"What do you got there?" they asked barely able to see much but a dot of light.  Like squishing a grape.  Doing so, the power held in his palm burst outward in every direction.  There was no time to get away as it swallowed and obliteration them all at once.  The attack obliterated the area in  perfect circle, digging into the ground deep enough to show the end void of black holes beyond their battlefield.  Floating in the same place he had been standing was Cyrus.

"Done with this attack of clones?" asked Cyrus or will you just waste my time with more of them?  If you choose the later I can come to you instead."

"How did you know I kept one of the mes out of range?" asked a Tanuki Kill as he descended to Cyrus.

"It not that you were out of range," he explained. "I simply only chose to attack that far.  Now, show me the true extend of your power.  Maybe then you can give me a fight that is at least remotely interesting."

"I'd say I have gained a good enough feel for you to do just that," agreed Kill.

"How the hell is he alive," ached Remgat as Tagmer clawed his way out of his stomach looking good as new.  "He shouldn't even exist anymore!"

"That would have been true," replied Zane.  "But I used my power to revive what was left of him before that could happen.  Now the two of you can finally put an end to your squabbles once and for all."

"Heh," coughed Remgat as he began to regenerate his torn to shreds stomach.  "A lot of good that will do to revive him.  Tagmer's power will just get drained back into me all over again.  There is no way he can beat me."

"You sure about that?" asked Tagmer stretching after escaping close quarters.  "How about a free shot then to test out that theory of yours."  Making his hand into a fist, Tagmer swung a punch at Remgat.  He connet and knocked the evil dragotaur onto his back.

"What was that?" spat Regmat black blood dripping from his maw.  "I couldn't absorb your power when you attacked me.  What did you do?"  Snarling, Remgat turned from Tagmer to Zane.  "No.  What did you do?"

"I loaned him a bit of my power," answered Zane.  "That should even things up now."

"Not going to lie," said Tagmer scratching his scales.  "I appreciate you saving me, but it feels like wearing an itchy sweater that I can't take off."

"I expected as much," stated Zane.  "It should last only a few minutes, but that should be more than enough time to defeat your dark side.  Good luck."  Turning away, Zane took his leave.

"I've lost track of how many times we've fought one another," admitted Remgat.

"Probably won't be the last," added Tagmer.

"Definitely not," he agreed.  "How about we finish this up with one final clash?  That power you're borrowing won't last very long anyway."

"If that's what you want," replied Tagmer flexing his muscles as Remgat did the same.  Building up their power, they charged at one another and in a flash they attacked one another.  Standing back to back after the attack, they were silent for a moment till Remgat finally broke the silence.

"Damn," coughed Remgat as his body began to crack from the point Tagmer hit him and quickly spread to the rest of his body.  Chunks of him fell off and crumbled to nothing on the ground below.  "Beaten again, but I'm no longer a part of you.  I'll be back."  With a toothy grin on his face, the remainder of his body broke to pieces and crumbled away to nothingness.

"Liar," stated Tagmer.  "I didn't beat you.  You let me win and my prize for doing so is more fighting.  Well, I intended to do that anyway.  Cyrus, I am coming for you next."

"Had enough?" panted Darkfang as he continued exchanging attacks with Jokull.  Their faces were swollen from the pummelling they were giving one another, their cheeks bruised and their lips swollen.

"Hardly," wheezed Jokull.  "I'm far from done.  I'm going to kick you and your two identical brothers."

"Heh, I knocked you so loopy you're seeing triple," he laughed.

"Still gonna kick your ass," moaned Jokull attacking with as much vigor as ever.

"You turned this into a battle of fisticuffs," retorted Darkfang.  "How exactly are you going to pull that off?"

"Wait, what?" asked Jokull hesitating for a moment over Darkfang's logic.

"Ha!" cried Darkfang pulling back for a powerful attack.  "He who hesitates is lost!"  Aiming  for the side of Jokull's face, attacked with a deathblow.  As he was about to land his attack, Regmat was defeated and the connection they shared was instantly severed.  "He lost?!?  How?!?"  Bam!  His fist smashed into Jokull, but it was far shallower than he intended pressing against Jokull's swollen face.

"Looks like you were the one who hesitated," stated Jokull speaking through his swollen face.  Striking with an uppercut, Jokull sent Darkmane skyward, out of the fisticuffs battle.  "You're out of range.  And now for the penalty for losing!"

"Gwah!" shrieked Darkmane as a surge of pain fluctuated through his body.  With Remgat gone, his power of recovery was gone as well.  Defeated, the darkness oozed from his body and dissipated from him.

"I did it," panted Jokull, reaching for his cards.  "Now to use this to-"  Jokull's strength gave out at that moment and he collapsed, fainting.

Several meters away, Vic and Ivy crashed to the ground.  They were both heavily wounded with scrapes, cuts, and blast burns all over their bodies, but between the two Vic was far more injured than the darkened Ivy.

"Kill you!" she growled slapping him fiercely with her wings.  "Kill!"

"I-I-Ivy," Vic managed to say, tears flowing from his eyes.  "I just can't do it.  I can't bring myself to fight you.  I can't save you.  Please forgive me."

"Kill!" she continued to say.  "Kill!  Kill!"  Her maw opened as she readied another Hyper Beam to finish him off.  "Kill!  K-k-kill..." As the attack took the time to build up power, her voice quivered.  Vic  felt something wet drip down onto his chest.  Looking carefully behind her attack, he could see tears streaming down the sides of her face.  "V-V-Vic... I-I-I don't want to do this."

"Break free of the darkness," cried Vic.  "You can do it!"

"Not fast enough," she sobbed, her eyes returning to  normal, as she continued to sob, snot dripping from his nose.  "I can't stop this attack.  If I am forced to kill you... I could never forgive myself.  If you die... I'll take my own life right after!"

"You can't!" panicked Vic struggling his fat frame beneath Ivy's own obesity to break this deadly chain of events.  He wasn't able to...  "Ivy!"

"Vic..." she replied full of sorrow as the attack reached critical power and she attacked.

"Return!"

The attack burst and swallowed up everything around it.  The ground quaked and sent the nearby Morris and Jokull tumbling away.  When the explosion from the attack ended, there was not a trace of them left.

"Please forgive me," sobbed Morris, holding onto two silver feathers clutched tightly in his paws.  "You did so much to help me and all I've done is cause you pain."

Darkmane slashed and stabbed his claws at Krystal. She danced around his attacks then fought back when her Gungnir fully charged.  She unleashed the energy in a mighty wave of electricity, but Darkmane cut through it just like he had with everything else.

"I like it when my prey fights back," Darkmane replied salivating.  "Makes my anticipation to eat you all the more worth it.  Just watching those meaty flanks of yours jiggle is making my maw overflow with drool."

"Really charming," she commented as she stabbed her spear into the ground.  "There's more to me than just a sexy body."

"Nothing else about you that I care about," he admitted licking his chops.  "I'm hungry and I'm going to eat you!"

"How about an appetizer to start you off?" she retorted as lightning burst out of the ground beneath him.  "Hope that didn't fill you up."

"Not in the least," he replied, a few feet to the side of the attack.  "I think you better give me a few more."

"All you can eat," she snapped unleashing more lightning below the ground.  The next bolt appeared below Darkmane's feet, but he swiftly moved aside.  Where he moved to, another bolt of lightning was about to erupt, but with the same agility he dodged that one and the subsequent ones to follow.

"Keep them coming," he laughed.  "I'm not even feeling full in the slightest, but that's probably because you haven't even hit me yet!"  Krystal kept trying while Darkmane continued to be one step ahead and with each step he took he closed the gap between them.  Finally, nose to nose with her, he gave a taunting grin as he locked eyes with her.  "Well, how about one more before I eat you?  I promise I won't dodge it this time."

Attempting to do so, Krystal used Gungnir once more, but nothing happened.  Her weapon needed to recharge.  "Looks like that's the end of the appetizers," admitted Krystal through gritted teeth.

"Then let's go onto the main course!" shouted Darkmane hungrily as his gut growled.  He slashed at Krystal furiously.  She backed away to avoid him, but he refused to let up and with one slash, he severed Krystal's Gungnir and backed her into a wall.  He then stabbed one set of his claws just to the side of her head.  After that he placed his other set of claws against her throat.  Drooling buckets, his saliva dripped down on her chest and belly.  "Dinner is served."

"Mind if I add a little parsley on the side for decoration?" asked Krystal grabbing a crystal cowbell hidden on her person.  "It is after all the most important part of the meal."  With the cowbell in hand, Krystal's body began to glow brightly then became encased in a sphere.  Darkmane attempted to slash through the sphere, but surprisingly his claws couldn't cut through it.

"What?" he shouted angrily.  "What was that cowbell?  What did you just do?"

"I went MEGA!" she answered as the sphere cracked and then burst to pieces in a dazzling display.

"My de- my deli- my delici-," moaned Glenn as the One-ion Ring continued to work its evil influence on him.  Just like Drag and the others, his consciousness slowly became submerged underneath an insatiable desire to eat it before anyone else could.  What little remained of his mind struggled to resist, but it was a losing battle.  At the same time, Drag and Snow were quickly approaching.

"My delicious," they continued to repeat, the battle for the One-ion Ring about to resume.

"My deli- My delicio- Mr d- yeow!" cried Glenn as a sharp pain stuck to his rear and had him jumping about wildl till he managed to regain his composure.  There he saw his plant had taken on a cactus form and stabbed its needles right into his hindquarters.  "Did I do that to myself?" pondered Glenn before gritting his teeth to pluck the needles from his fanny.  "Or did my plant do that on its own accord?  Either way, the pain brought me back to my senses before I was completely lost."

"My delicious!" moaned Drag and Snow as they fumbled forward toward Glenn.  "My delicious!"

"And they're too far gone for that to work on them," added Glenn grabbing the One-ion ring and running for his life.  "The only thing I can do to save them is to destroy the source of their madness, the One-ion Ring.  If I had to take a guess the only way to do that would be to toss it into the molten core of a volcano because any other more practical means would be ineffective for some reason.  Now I just need to find a volcano."

"My delicious!  MY DELICIOUS!!!" roared Snow unhappy by the theft of his delicious.  Using his magic over pizza, the ground beneath Glenn began to rise upwards at a steep rate.  Frantically, Glenn continued to try and climb and avoid falling off, but soon that became a moot point when he ran out of room to run and was staring down at the maw of a pizza volcano.

"Well, I found a volcano," commented Glenn with a gulp.  "And molten pizza is just as good as molten lava, I suppose."

"My delicious!" slobbered Snow getting ready to pounce on Glenn.

"Wait!!!" cried Glenn fearfully.  He was shocked when the obese Gabumon actually listened and stopped so close the nails on his toes were touching Glenn's feet and his fat gut was pushing Glenn uncomfortably close to falling into the volcano.

"My delicious," growled Snow, bearing his teeth and drool oozing down his maw.

"Uh, yeah," trembled Glenn trying to roll with it.  "You want this dinky little onion ring, right?"  Snow answered by opening his maw and letting out a monstrous growl.  "Or... do you want to eat all that yummy pizza lava right down there?"

There was a silence as Snow looked down at the bubbling mix of pizza and cheese, the delicious aroma crawling up his nose and causing more drool to drip from his maw.  "Pizza!" he exclaimed happily.  "My delicious!"  Without a second thought, Snow leapt into the pizza volcano vanishing beneath the surface.

"I can't believe that worked," admitted Glenn.  "Now to end this... once and for all."  Holding the One-ion Ring over the volcano, he prepared to drop it in, but just as before, he could feel a sensation as the dark force of the deep fried onion slice began to try and manipulate him once again, its influence proving even stronger than it had been before.  "Got to fight it.  I can't lose now that I've just got to drop it."

As much as Glenn knew this, his hand refused to obey and once again his mind began to become numb against the influence.  Even as his plant began to attack him to try and help him back to his senses, the One-ion Ring was proving too strong this time.  "Is this the end?" groaned Glenn.

"My delicious!" roared Drag lunging out at Glenn mouth opened wide as he took in both the One-ion Ring and Glenn's hand.

"Wah!" cried Glenn shocked by the fat dragon's appearance enough to once again return to his senses.  At first, he thought that Drag had actually bit off his hand, but then he realized he was merely licking and slobbering instead.  "Savoring your food.  That's a relief, but I'm not food!"  Controlling his plant, he turned it into a branch and bopped Drag on his head, knocking the big lug out.  "But, uh, thanks for the help."  Without another moment of hesitation, Glenn got rid of the One-ion Ring in the pizza volcano.  "And I've saved the day."

"N-no," groaned Drag quickly regaining his sense.  "The real danger is still on the way."

"Real danger?" asked Glenn not liking the sound of that.  "You mean that Cyrus guy and all those other guys?"

"Something worse," said Drag getting back up.  "A force of nature that could wipe us all out.  We were trying to figure a way to defeat it, but got side-tracked by that One-ion Ring.  How long were we out for?"

"I don't know," answered Glenn.  "I'm guessing a little while at least."

"Then we don't have much time before it arrives," said Drag.

"Before what arrives?"

"Meatier," answered Drag.

Picking up a random puzzle piece from an enormous pile, a child carried it over to a puzzle that was being put together upside down.  Without even hesitation, he placed the puzzle piece in the correct spot and walked back to pile once again.  All around him was dozens more puzzles all upside down with pieces missing in them too.

"Even after that Obamon and those other guys have done our little friend over there hasn't even glanced away from his puzzles."

"It's obvious the reason.  Despite your best efforts, none of this is near enough to warrant his attention.  They are just not strong enough."

"Hey, he just doesn't know what's good.  I've told him dozens of jokes and I can't get him to even chuckle.  I guess I must have told him all my jokes already."

"That has to be it.  It isn't like you simply aren't funny.  Oh, wait, that's probably it."

"What did you say!?!"

"Would you two be quiet!  I didn't think our friend would react yet.  There is still a great deal of power those pawns have yet to utilize and Obamon's powers have nearly peaked.  No matter who wins, I'll succeed in finally gaining his interest."

"If you do, you'd best hope it is a favorable one.  Remember, he could just as easily destroy us and everything else if he gets bored enough.  Him challenging himself by doing a few million piece jigsaw puzzles completely blind is hardly keeping him at bay.  He's placed each piece in the proper position every time even when he had just started each puzzle."

"Now that's perfection, heheheh.  And here I thought you were the perfection freak."

"I am perfect and when this plan fails then I'll have my turn and I'll be the one to get him interested."

"Still, it's a pain in the butt that we've got to go through all these hoops for him just to get him interested in our plans for domination."

"He's a kid and grown up things never hold their attention for more than a few minutes unless they see it as a game."

"Well, once he does play, then our goal will finally be in reach."

"Grown ups are so boring," thought the boy placing another puzzle piece onto one of the boards in the correct spot.
