They are ,naturally, reclusive and visitors, esp. if they pry into things, are NOT welcome. Such tend to disappear and are not seen or heard of again.
The town itself, is run-down. Once a prospering town focusing on maritime industries, it is but a front now for a city on the ocean floor, Y'ha-Nthlei, which is involved in reviving Cthulhu & other Great Old Ones.
