AND throughout this strip, the actions of the Tolkein persons are obvious -,tho not directly shown. I'm a Tolkein fan, have enjoyed the recent LOTR trilogy ,but was annoyed at the padding done to THE HOBBIT to make it a trilogy (the 2nd film stuck in a tiresome dragged out battle bet Smaug and the dwarves, that almost made me leave the theater during it.)
