Whitehair is an ancient shapeshifting wolf who has been tortured and mutilated beyond recognition over the centuries. Being a shapeshifter, he normally hides this with a preferred alternate form, but from time to time, something happens that forces him into his loathsome natural form. The evil being doing this to him has many new tortures awaiting the old wolf.
